I got a mixed six pack of exotic craft beers for my birthday.

I thought I had photographed them and posted it ...

Seemingly sadly not !

And the empty bottles have gone.

And nice as they were I can't remember their names.

No I am sure someone will claim it never happened !!

Well it's been over two weeks since anyone posted about beer...........shocking!

Its Friday so I'm off to the pub in a few hours assuming I can resist the urge to have a desk-beer in the meantime.

You are right. But it does not mean that we have not been drinking beer for two weeks... just that the app is not working :-((

Had a Westmalle Dubbel on draft for the first time.  I'd had it in bottles before but never draft.  Tasted a little different from the bottles......Very smooth

I bought a some bottles of St Stephanus about six months ago that was brewed in February.  I'm keeping it to see how it ages and changes over its 18/24 months life.

I'm due an update bottle soon...............

Unita, Rise and Pine from of Utah. A dark and hoppy ale with juniper and piney hops. Good for the cold weather today here in St Paul. Some Steely Dan too.

This is one I look forward to every year when it gets closer to winter...  Nice little bit of heat from the peppers that are brewed with it....

Hi Tucker,

What's so special with "Mexican hot chocolate"?

And can you really taste the cinnamon, vanilla, coffee and cocoa?

This is the first year I have seen it where they mention the "Mexican hot chocolate" on the front of the bottle, I've always just known it as a stout with a bit of creativity added.  You can definitely pick out the flavors, and they do a great job with balancing them together to make it all work.   The coffee and cocoa is most forward, but the chili pepper and cinnamon add a nice little bit of heat on the back end, and it being over 8% probably helped with that warmth just a little bit...

Great winter beer.  My usual rule of thumb for beer is anything that I can't see through.  This especially applies in the colder months!!!

Brewdog are having a Stone Brewery tap take over at all their UK bars in December. I’ll search it out if they have it on.

Surly, Bender. An oatmeal brown ale. I saw the sun today, briefly. And this beer is crisper tasting than the color would suggest.

Looks and sounds really good Peter. Is Surly a local brewery to you?

Yes, I go past Surly on my way to and from work everyday. So many great beers. If you ever get the chance to try Surly Darkness you should!
