Ok I have it for a week now and here is some reflections.
* Android system crash every day
* My Pace 830 box does not work with PUC
* When I turn on the TV from stand-by and, lets say press ATV, all puc controlled devices goes on!! (Except Pace box)
* When the TV has been off for a couple of hours I need to enter the pincode.
* The sound of the Pace box is out of sync
* If you change settings it does not apply.
* Automatic room adaptation is bad, so I have set it off
etc etc........................
Many of this issue is known by B&O
All I can say is that I never had so many problem with a new TV as this;-/
Is it Andriods faults??
BeoVision Haermony 65"...BeoLab 28 Anthracite....BeoLab 17 as REAR....BV10-32....BC6-26....Beosound 9000....Beosound 1 New York edt....Beogram 4002....Beoplay Emerge....Beoplay M5....Beoplay M3....Beoremote Halo....BeoRemote One BT....Beo6....Beo4....Beo4 Cinema....BeoLink 7000....Serene....H95 Black LTD....H9i Rimowa....6 x H6....Form 1....U70...
That sounds quite shocking. Ok, early adopter problems. Still, just too many issues. It's not Android'd fault. B&O needs to be blamed for releasing the product in such a state.
I hope, the issues can be fixed soon so you can enjoy the new TV. I was satisfied with my BV11-55 only after two years, there were a couple of issues. B&O fixed one and implemented another one with their updates.
That's disappointing, Mr. Anderson. I hope the issues are resolved quickly.
I have discovered the same issue with that excact Pace Box.
However, i have found a (temporary) solution. It uses the same IR commands as a Samsung SMT-S5140, so try to download that PUC and try i out. Seems to work well :-)

(related to my BV14-40)
Indeed.. The Android part crashed regulary... "service xyz stopped responding" and so on.
One evening turned off the TV because I had to put my daughter to bed and still do some work... some hours later.. turn on the tv and it's requesting pin code... Which I didn't have... Had to call my dealer the next day.
Takes at least 30sec to start up from standby!
Haven't had any issues with the PUC (Appel TV rev 4 and Telenet decoder)
To figure out: how to make a list of DVB-Radio stations so that I can press "Radio" "1" in order to have the first radio station that I have put in the favorites list
Also need to figure out how to add Spotify to the devices list so that I can assign the BL8000s+BL11 as speakers without the speakers of the BV14
B&O still need to iron out a lot of bugs in this one!
(duplicate)
Aussie Michael:I was seriously considering a BV14-55. Maybe I should wait.
I really am worried that all sw fixes and updates for the Android tv's will come to an end quickly when the LG part has implemented...

Got a good deal on a Samsung UHD HDR 6-series TV at my work. Bought a 65" for movie watching in a "movie room". (Still have my BV11-46 in the living room.)
Tried some Netflix content with HDR on the Samsung during a week.
I think most people will get HDR through a streaming service, going forward.
It look nice on my Samsung, but I think BV14 (that I have watched at my dealer) deliver such a super image so anyone comparing an "ordinary" HDR capable tv with a BV14, watching the same UHD HDR content, will find BV14 superior.

Aussie Michael:Is the BV 14 , 40 or 55 available with the black surround? I wonder if so, if you could get black lamellas - that would look smashing

Duels:Maybe he wants two TVs.

mr_anders_son:Week 41 will B&O release the new software for BV14/Horizon and most of the issues will be solved...I hope
I hope so! I have to enter my pincode everytime I turn on the TV...
Also.. I created a 2nd audio profile (muting the speakers of the TV) when I'm just listening to music So basicly only BL8000+BL11. BeoLab 11 turns on... but doesn't produce an sound.
Curious ... will we see the return of Netflix?
Why are you guys so focust on Netflix?
Most of the series are 'old '
I've heard that B&O was to quick to launch the Beovision 14, so Netflix couldn't prove it to get native app onboard.
That should, how crazy it sounds, mean that Beovision 14 never get's Netflix on the built-in Android platform.
You'll have to get an external 4K box to watch Netflix on the TV...
So you might not rush out to buy one, if Netflix on the top of your wishlist!
Check your local dealer for more information.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Chris Townsend:I get the impression from dealers during my travels, that the current 14-55 is very much a hasty stop gap, before the LG OLED panels arrive next year. Beovision 7-55 Mk2, Avant RF 28, Beolab 9, Beolit 15, Beoplay A1/A2, Beocom 2, Beotime, H3 ANC/H8/H6/H2, Form 2, Beoplay A3, Beovision 5-42 connected to a DVD1

I have now a new software version on my BV14-55. It is a service software that you can request from your dealer.
It will be public in december.

Does your dealer have to install in manually (USB?) on the TV?

Same here, before BV 11, now BV 14-55 and ssing it for a week now :
* PUC control for the Dune Solo 4K does not work correct :- have to select the Dune 2 or 3 times before it wakes up (NO SIGNAL)- after switching to cable tv setup box, the Dune goes in stand by mode (even though I selected only to go in standby if I turn tv off)
- selecting cabl tv setup box, message NO SIGNAL (even though blanking range wider/lower set)
- If you change settings it does not always apply. - If you store a Mybutton, it does not work correct
* Light control is very clumsy : because the Beoreomote is now BT and the light is IR, you have to do many switches in the Beoremote to control the light, and after that you have to do the entire process again backward to control the tv again...
I understand that the updated software (that was due for November) for the BV14 and Horizon will be distributed in week 51, which is very late in my opinion given all the bugs in the present version.
Just sent over the following bug report to BeoCare (current software: mid October 2016 version) and requested a SW update.
---------------------------------------------------
- startup of the tv is looooong (35sec)
- when BV14 is off and selecting my Telenet set-top box on the remote then the BV is started with the last device playing (could be the Apple TV); automatically switching to the selected device 10sec later; (so basicly being able to watch the intended programme after around 50sec)
- the Android part crashes at random every couple of days (see pictures)
- the NetFlix app downloaded from the GooglePlay store works sometimes ("Your device is not compatible. -13"), turning the TV off and back on resolved the problem.
- No Signal status bar remains sometimes onscreen even though the settop box or Apple TV is playing.
- Possibility to add the downloaded apps to the remote? (Spotify? YouTube? Netflix?)
I have 2 audio profiles:
- Startup (config: BL8000's & BL11 & interne speakers active): Dolby : no problems
- Audio (config: BL8000 & BL11 active, internal speakers turned off) for radio & iTunes music. The BL11 does not play, even though it is active (green LED); internal speakers keep on playing. When re-configuring the Audio profile the BL11 kicks in and the internal speakers mute. When turning the TV off and back on the settings remain, but BL11 does not play, internal speakers are playing again.
(I'm in the situation now that my trusty BeoSound Ouverture sounded better when playing music than my BV14.
So.. some bugs need to be ironed out. And I would be more than helpful in testing your pre-release software!
Still happy karel with your BV14?
After the manual adjustment of the speakers in audio mode: YES.
Can't complain about the picture quality, build quality, remote. 4K is joy to view (streaming)... Just curious what 4K looks like when connecting a dedicated 4K BluRay player... But that's something for Xmass :-)
Karel.
Today I have been offered een "in between" update as well. This should solve a few of the current bugs.
Anyone else also using light control and BV14 ?
The sw update wich shall come week 51 is postponed to Januari.
AND Multiroom is not coming in Januari either:-(
When I bought it they said November....
