Hi guys,

I need to know if it is anyway of using my Beolab 3500 without a B&O receiver? I do not need to control my system through the Beolab 3500, all I am after is for it to play. Can I cut the Masterlink cable and wire any of the inside cables to an RCA cable? Can I buy some kind of hardware that will transform the masterlink signal to RCA? Can I use another cable than the Masterlink to connect to the Beloab 3500? Anyway to use it via airplay?

All answers will be appreciated!

You can try it with a Beolink Convertor 1611, and connect an aux-cable to your iThing on the convertor.

Never tried this with a BL3500, but with a BL2000 this works fine.

Choose TV as source on your BL3500.

Thanx!

I have a question though, sorry if it is obvious too you but I do not know. The AUX input cable on the convertor box looks like an XLR cable(?) either way, I want the input to come from an Airport express that has a 3,5mm output. So my question is how do I go from 3,5mm output to the AUX input on the Beolink 1611?

Or can I use this with the Powerlink input?

Beonic:

NO !  The pic is showing 8 pins - will not fit the 7 pin AUX connector of the BeoLink Converter

NO - not to be connected to the 8pin PowerLink socket of the BeoLink Converter!

YES - if connected to the 7 pin AUX socket of a BeoLink Converter!.
