Duels:I've thoroughly enjoyed my ATV 3 and intend to get an ATV4 shortly. I do agree Paul that it's been totally hassle free and a really nice piece of kit.

Aussie Michael:but it only ever existed as a device for you to buy apple content
Aussie Michael: Yes its a good product but it only ever existed as a device for you to buy apple content. I
Duels:I use mine mainly for Netflix and NowTV (which is sky sports/movies on a pay as you go basis) and only occasionally for iTunes movies.
the one thing i'd add re the ATV4 is that playing music via the Music app sounds very very good + it sounds better than air playing from a Mac or iOS device to the ATV.......dont ask me why, i've heard others discuss it, and its something i'd noticed myself....so, much as i'd grown bored of the iOS Music app and iTunes as interfaces, the recent updates have cleaned them up (search still needs improving), and if you use Apple Music or iTunes Match, the sound quality of playing direct using the Music app on ATV4 is really impressive........
I forgot to mention my favorite feature of the ATV4. The remote is rechargeable! Maybe more remotes should be rechargeable.

So is my Harmony One and my Beo5. Nothing new there. The updated Apple Remote that lets you use the iPad or phone's keyboard to enter text instead of the horrid hunt and peck method with the remote is nice, but I can pair a Bluetooth keyboard to my TV and do it that way too for the TV apps. I've found Siri occasionally useful but more as a novelty that I don't use often, especially as it won't search Amazon Video for items.
There are things the AT4 does that just don't interest me at all, such as games, photos, and music streaming. I guess if my TV was linked into my audio system instead of being a separate set of components I'd find the music useful, but I use a Playmaker and stream from my PC or my tablet. To quite Lincoln from a book review, people who like this kind of thing will find this the kind of thing that they like, it's just not the kind of thing I need or will use.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Aussie Michael:I do wonder how games are on Apple TV now
A gigabit Ethernet Adaptor would have been most welcome... The embedded adaptor is only at 100mpbs
Why do you need GigE?
