I've thoroughly enjoyed my ATV 3 and intend to get an ATV4 shortly. I do agree Paul that it's been totally hassle free and a really nice piece of kit.

Wait until Thanksgiving just in case there is an ATV5 !

I'm not sure I understand the apple bashing here. I have a long list of complaints about Apple, but the Apple TV 4 is not among them. it integrates very well with a b&o setup. it brings offline movies/tvshows with kodi/plex/infuse, many tv streaming apps, netflix, games, and integrates with the apple ecosystem (AirPlay, Apple Music, photos). so, not sure why there are so negative, emotional reactions on this - typically peaceful - forum.

sure, I'd wish for a Spotify app and a chromecast receiver, but nothing is perfect and you never know what may be next.

to be balanced, I do believe apple lost an opportunity not having improved AirPlay and leaving this area to google: AirPlay is still buggy, doesn't offer a "connect-like" feature, and only features multi-room from iTunes (not from iOS). Google jus nailed what we all want with chromecast / googlecast.

Yes its a good product but it only ever existed as a device for you to buy apple content. I

I use mine mainly for Netflix and NowTV (which is sky sports/movies on a pay as you go basis) and only occasionally for iTunes movies.

I must admit it did change over time. I do enjoy Netflix but I prefer a native app for Netflix. I think on the Sony TV it is many less clicks to get to Netflix content.

I've not heard of Now TV.

I do wonder how games are on Apple TV now

the one thing i'd add re the ATV4 is that playing music via the Music app sounds very very good + it sounds better than air playing from a Mac or iOS device to the ATV.......dont ask me why, i've heard others discuss it, and its something i'd noticed myself....so,  much as i'd grown bored of the iOS Music app and iTunes as interfaces, the recent updates have cleaned them up (search still needs improving), and if you use Apple Music or iTunes Match, the sound quality of playing direct using the Music app on ATV4 is really impressive........

I forgot to mention my favorite feature of the ATV4.  The remote is rechargeable!  Maybe more remotes should be rechargeable.

So is my Harmony One and my Beo5. Nothing new there. The updated Apple Remote that lets you use the iPad or phone's keyboard to enter text instead of the horrid hunt and peck method with the remote is nice, but I can pair a Bluetooth keyboard to my TV and do it that way too for the TV apps. I've found Siri occasionally useful but more as a novelty that I don't use often, especially as it won't search Amazon Video for items.

There are things the AT4 does that just don't interest me at all, such as games, photos, and music streaming. I guess if my TV was linked into my audio system instead of being a separate set of components I'd find the music useful, but I use a Playmaker and stream from my PC or my tablet. To quite Lincoln from a book review, people who like this kind of thing will find this the kind of thing that they like, it's just not the kind of thing I need or will use.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

The better question is "how many GOOD games are on Apple TV now" ... my sons have ported some of theirs to the ATV it without a retina and rewrite most ports (including theirs) struggle with usability.

The grandchildren play Mimpi every time they visit and sometimes Agent A ... and I think using the ATV turns it into a social collaborative event for us.

Although we have bunch of others that are aimed at their demographic

A gigabit Ethernet Adaptor would have been most welcome... The embedded adaptor is only at 100mpbs
