Fansastic:New software update available, only minor performance upgrades, no NL availability. Maybe this update does improves the sound problems. My Horizon does not show the sound problems, but it has not yet have the stability and operating speed my V1 has. Feels like there is till much work to be done. My three main requests are NL/Multiroom ability, beter and more stable reaction time for remote commands and normal opening and closing of the curtains. Even my 7 year old son asked if the certains could be fixed, he thoughts they were broken

I do not mind waiting for the updates but i do miss netflix.
meanwhile i have hidden my ATV4 in the back of the Horizon but that is only temporary i hope

New software released yesterday bunged up audio on my Horizon :(
When switching between inputs a couple of times, it will sound like a cassette tape running that is very slowly. Need to investigate if it's a specific sound mode that is messed up or what, but it's reeeally annoying.

That's the Week 5 update :-)
There was indeed a new update yesterday, at least for the Horizon.
Wat Kuyttendaele means that your Horizon downloaded the update that was released in week 5. Most owners have already updated to this version and it is not an in-between-update. The next one will be in week 10.

i am from France and I follow this post because my dealer wants to deal my beovision 755 against the new ng avant 75 in giving the difference
i read that the android system is not mature ( a lot of tv philips Sony at their launch had a bad android os) : a lot of bugs
i think android system is just for music streaming ( like Spotify Deezer...) ,Netflix if you have a good speed internet,eventually multimedia like Kodi or you tube , and in France myCANAL
but is the TNT tv affected by these bugs ? For example is the tv stop or reload without doing anything ?
I read all the negative critics for the user do you advice me not to buy the NG avant ? Is it better to wait ... for ... what ? The future lg partnership will put the new tv in June 2017 or 2018?

The new TVs are still buggy, though from my experience they are getting better, especially the picture quality has improved some the first release.......i dont know the 7-55 that well, but it was supposed to have an excellent picture......the newer TVs have on paper not as good screens as the pre-Android versions (local dimming vs global dimming on the new ones).....that said, in real life its not clear that the new screens are any worse, the picture isn't as soft and subtle, but appear a little brighter, which some may well prefer in fact..........i am happy with my BV14-55 picture now, looks really good...........
go and try the new ones......if picture quality on old and new Avant's are both good enough, then i would go with the original 75 inch to get the original software platform.........otherwise wait for the OLED screens (should be excellent screen tech, though may face similar "new software" issues.....

as you say with any tv now with firmware ( android or similar:webos,Philips Sony or Samsung) we have a period of "doubt" because we have bugs , we have to wish that the firm ,here B&O , will " work" on it
it is why I think the first thing is how is the picture ? You have beovision 14 ,my dealer said that the new beovision has the same platform as the NG avant et the same screen : you seem to be glad with yours.. I shall decide ,but my dealer now have only the NG avant .. so I have no choice with the original avant
with your beovision 14 do you often use android system ? In real use have you so much Bugg? How you find your sound ?
I think waiting for the future (hypothetic) tv lg partner as you say may have other adventures!

Kodi for playind media files from diskstation and PC works excellent (subs etc) Sound is great. Little buggy over all, but not too bad. Missing: voice recognition would be great Love the rolling stand!
make no mistake, its been a bit painful, my main issue was audio dropping out......the Android OS is the OS for the whole TV, there is no sidestepping it....so i do love the look of the BV14, and the picture quality is pretty good now (though i will always prefer my 12-65 plasma)......its my second screen, so i didn't wait for the OLEDs.......if it is your main screen, it might be worth waiting to see the OLED B&O's, though as i said remember that will be on a different OS again (webOS most likely), so some issues may occur, though i suspect they will be relatively small compared to the instabilty of Android TV OS.......sound is very good, though from what i understand the sound on original Avant's (2014-6) and the BV11 is slightly better - the speaker specs of the new TVs look a fraction less powerful, though my installer says the difference in noticeable, both good, but the older TVs better.........if you want an original pre-NG Avant, you should be able to find one.......

it s for my main screen ( replace beovision 7 55 full hd pretty picture and sound very with beolab 7.6) ... may be I have to wait oled in 55 or 65 there is no yet above this dimension I have friend who say that webos3 is stable ! But there is no idea if B&O launch these tv this summer or in 2018 ...I have search on net but I have not find any clue..
it seem that there is a new firmware on horizon (only?) which is more stable if I read the post before mine I hope it is a good new if some users can give us their conclusion

supposed to be an interim software recently, but i haven't seen anything for my BV14.....anyway, its been more stable recently definitely, though others have had problems.......as for the OLEDs, who knows, but from what i hear, the tv's are more or less ready.....but i wouldn't expect anything very soon.....
That s a "little" problem we don't know when these future oled tv come ( may be with no much better firmware even it is webos3.5 ! )
i wonder myself if I have to wait because beovision 7 55 full hd have a very pretty picture ( it is full led local dimming zone 512 ) and today for 4K tv we have not much movie,in France no 4K provider on satellite and for Netflix in 4K you need fiber ..( not to much area have it .. my town is not deserve in fiber nowdays !!) so ... and "en plus " the beovision ( horizon,avant or 14) have not so much beautiful picture and instable firmware ...
you are right for a main screen if you are objective there is no need to change ...emotionally for a second screen why not ?
if the review by user show that firmware is more stable and mature i will see
Fast check: sound / bass management bug still there even after yesterday's update.
The last update is 2017-01-27, this was released on 2017-01-31 (the week 5 update). I checked my Horizon. It cannot find a newer update. Did your TV perhaps download the same update again???? Or did your dealer request an in-between-update for your BV that was also dated 2017-01-27?
Bart, which software version is your TV running? Mine downloaded the update, and I have a suspicion that it may have downloaded a previous version of the software as bugs seems to have resurfaced.

The number is QM153E.0.3.0.112, dated 2017-1-27. This one is released 2017-1-31.
This is getting confusing...
Fist software was the version when the BV14 was released.
Received an interim version in December on dealer's request
Then the "Week 5" release around first week of February
And yesterday another update which is dated 2017-1-27...
Still no release dating 2017-1-31 here...

The latest updated is dated 2017-1-27 (perhaps the closing date for the software programmers), but released for customers on 2017-1-31. So your BV was not able to download it before 2017-1-31. Hope this helps.
By the way QM153E.0.3.0.112 is the latest update according to the B&O support site.

I presume that the Beovision Avant NG as the same engine than BV14 and Horizon.
Do you think it works better or is it just that nobody bought it on this board ?
Just a thought if I ever get tempted (again) by an Avant (if the Oled is not what I expect - extra superior sound/excellent picture/7.500 € max on motorised stand 55").
The engine is the same. I suggest to wait until most of the issues are solved.

Karel, the software updates you mention - do they still show the release date as January 27?
I reset my Horizon to factory settings, which seemed to speed things up a little, and it has been running fine for a couple of hours tonight.
i updated mine tonight......before the release date was showing as 18-Jan, now showing 27-Jan.....version number QM153E 0.3.0.112.....(BV-14)...not sur if that helps......
