Good Morning,

Which products can the Beolink 7000 control?

I know it uses the newer IR system and is two directional and was used with the Beomaster 6500, 7000, & Beocenter 9500 but that's all I know.

I have tried it as a oneway remote with the Beomaster 3300 and Beocenter 9000 with no effect.

Hello Peter,

I'm using it with a BC 9500 as you mention and also with a Beosystem 4500 two way.

Kind regards,

Hi

the Beolink can act bidirectional as well as a one way remote. Such as bidirectional for audio and one way for video/TV. This is done automatically by adding a new product to the list. So every unit, that accepts to the Beolink 1000 or Beo 4 can be controlled via 7000. I cannot tell, if the Beo one still uses the "old" code. Perhaps your remote needs some new capacitors?

Some BM4500s and BM5500s have two-way option installed but not all.

Perhaps you should try adding the components again to the BL7000's sources. While adding, it queries the device to see if it's a two-way and adjusts accordingly. Go PANEL > SETUP > SYSTEM > COMPNTS > RADIO.

Also try going very close to the Beomaster in case it's the reduced IR range problem on the BL7000 (caps).

Does your units work with a regular Beolink 1000, Peter?

One direction working! I needed to add components like ProGram and Lausvi described. This beolink apparently still has good strength to its IR sending.

Funny story.

It was 5am and I stood in front of the BC9000 that isn't connected to speakers and I added components to the beolink and then tentatively I hit RADIO, the Beocenter lights up- volume really high- Guns N' Roses Paradise City blasting! I reach over and hit mute on the Beocenter, still blasting music, hit the standby button, Beocenter goes into standby, still Axel sings. The Beosystem 3300 behind me was working great with the Beolink 7000. Duh. Dumb. My wife wakes up and sees me in the living room looking guilty with the Beolink in hand and she says, "whoa! What is that!" And then I said, as I set beolink down and it sits up to face her, "just another remote control." Cool Embarrassed
