Hi fellow B&O lovers.

Just got a black Beosystem 7000 in a perfect condition (i think). Had 5500 running for many years (still is).

I hooked up my "new" system to power, everything working using the buttons on front panels of the system.

When I wanted to turn up the volume with my Beo4 remote, nothing happened. Tried 5500 remote but nothing happened either. No connection to the system, not even power on/off.

Both remotes mentioned works with the 5500 system.

Any ideas for troubleshoot?

Thanks in advance.

Try putting the system to Audio Option 1 with your Beo4 remote

SOUND, 1, GO,GO, I think. You may need to add the SOUND button in the LIST system. This assumes that someone had turned off the remote sensor in the BM7000. (Sound, 0, GO,GO)

Thank you for your reply

added SOUND to menu

pushed: List, until SOUND appears on beo4 screen.

pushed: 1, go, go

Just a thought ;)

I guess the system has to be "on" right?

Found Audio Oprion 1 in Config-Audio-Audio1 , Pointed remote to system. Pushed "GO"

Right?

No - it needs to be in standby!

Hi,

try using your Beolink 1000 remote. Press standby (red dot), then Sound, 1, Store.

that will set Option 1.

Good luck

Solved with a good advice from UK ;)

"The system need to be in standby mode and the Beo4 pointed at the BeoMaster 7000;

- Press and hold the Red off and 'LIST' buttom. Then let go of both buttons
- Press 'LIST' until the Beo4 displays [OPTION?]
- Press 'GO' to access Option-programming
- Press 'LIST' to display: A.OPT Audio options
- Point the Beo4 at the BeoMaster 7000 and key in the number '1' (e.g. Option.1)"
