carlito:

Moved to a new appartment and changed the approach - No TV (used my Beovision 6-26 MK4 very rarely) and all electronic devices are hidden away. I know that my taste of interior design is not common. For example - in my leisure time i’m wearing shoes without socks (as you can see in the Beoplay A2 advertisement).

The BL5 in Option 1 are connected via SPDIF from the Cambridge DACMagic Plus. Itunes on the MacMini can be controlled from an idevice. The hidden BeoCenter 2 is only needed to distribute Masterlink to the Beolab 3500 in the bedroom. For Kitchen and bathroom the Beoplay A2.

Living room with BeoLab 5's and no TV - I'm a fan! Yes - thumbs up

Also - BeoLab 5s in an apartment?! There is hope! LaughingLaughingLaughing

That looks really good, Archie! Is that black thing in the corner for better acoustics?

Have you considered moving the BS9000 onto the wall next to the BS5? It looks a little hidden away where it is. It can of course also be the camera angle. Such a beautiful piece should be out in the open Big Smile I really miss mine.

Never seen the BS5 mounted that high before. I guess you don't have to bend your back at all when using it. Smart idea Smile

I agree with Mark and Leo.

Great rooms, decor, and setups.

Also in addition to Leo's question, what is the second (similar) black thing ? The one lying sideways on the cabinet.

This room will probably be too large for a BL11.

I'd borrow a BL19 as well Big Smile

Thank you for you advices..Smile

the black box near the cabinet is the subwoofer for the moovies.

The "2001 space odyssey monilith" is a heater

When we are on the sofga,  we can see and admire the 9000 and we love it.

For  the higher of the BS5, it's for my back and to be in accord with the higher of  BL8000 and TV.

The BL11 will be only for the music and i hear not too loud.

BL19 is big and the form very strange (dixit my wife Big Smile)

Yes. It is excellent.

Shows what can be done if one has a designer's eye and taste.

I have the same kit (except bl3s instead of 4Ks) and it looks pedestrian where as yours is a fashion / movie set.

Congratulations !!!

Bey bey Beolab 9, after 8 years of fidelity service

and welcome Beolab 20

Quite a time I wasn’t satisfied about the Beolab 9. As I love very much classical music and know how this sounds in a concert hall.
The treble was too keen and too harsh. The mid range and bass were even. The modification of the tune in of the Avant didn’t have the desired result.

A joint dealer campaign, to trade in jour ‘old’ Beolabs, attract my attention. I have phoned several B&O dealers. With the one who offered me the best price, I made the deal. In his showroom I twice have listen, very comprehensive, Bluray’s and SACD CD’s – as their are Gounod: Faust, Wagner: Das Rheingold, Chopin: piano concerts, etcetera. I was speechless, it sounds beautiful and realistic. The treble was brilliant [without any keen fring], mid range and bass were tight, without a track of ravel and resonance. With my eyes closed, it was as if I was sitting in a concert hall and this time with goose-flesh of emotion.

Now, two weeks later, we have the Beolab 20 definitive in our living.

Compliments to Geoff Martin and his team. After all, they have made this possible.

I apologize for some English words. Maybe they are not correct translated. But I hope you will understand what is meant.

Congratulations on your amazing upgrade!. Those 20's look amazing. Although I was never a fan of the tuxedo look, the more I see them in person and in photos in actual homes, the more I'm drawn to their looks. When I was in Tokyo I saw them in the flesh in a few showrooms and they're quite subdued.

Also kudos on the color you chose, very understated and beautiful! I hope they sound just as good as they look for years to come!

Congrats first of all!

I do agree the color of your 20s is just incredibly stylish and works beautifully with their size&shape making them look more... ...elegant.

Reminds me a lot of Louboutin's "Nude" pump concept - ingenous.

Brand new A9 rose gold.

Unfortunately not mine, but my daughters. I keep it in my house until she have moved to a new apartment.

Amazing sound in this beast. I have not really listened actively to one. Nice to have passed on the B&O bug to my kids Smile, and fun to see that B&O appeal to the younger generation.

Would love a pair of 20:s but my wife don't like to have speakers standing on the floor, so I have to stick with my BL3:s and wallmounted BL11. Stick out tongue

That could work - but I think I will swap these with my bedroom system BC+BG9500 as they might look more "together" with these Beolabs. Then these will probably return to the 2+2 configuration, which I still think looks the best. I was almost happy with my decor, and them I bought a digital piano - now everything is in turmoil again...

Very nice experiment Mika. Why should this setup not stay as it is? I like it ...

Generall I am jealous of all you guys with all that low-boards with lot of place for the B&O stuff. You obviously do not have little curious and snoopy fingers all around your homes, which are on the search all the time Smile

Very nice setups from other beoworlders too...

Hello Beoworlds.

some beautiful set ups listed here, thought it might be nice to see some vintage showing it's lovely weathered face!

Been having a Miles session this evening, was looking up how to fix something with my deck and came across this thread..

My 4400 needs a little fix so i've been using a trusty Beolab & Beomaster 1700 as backup.. Kind of Blue coloured vinyl playing on a Beogram 4000, Beovox s45-2 at the sides and a couple of cx50 set to ambio on the table..

Sounds lovely it does.

The ipod stand was bought to match a rosewood Beomaster 1400, also at the fixers.
Was the only stand i could find with a similar B&O angle on the wood...

Speaking of snoopy fingers, I had the BV8 in PC mode the other day as I was monitoring the progress of a utility ...

.... and I came into the room to find my 2y3m old grandson using his finger on the BV8's screen to try to swipe or tap icons

And then there was the case of my son who inserted a sandwich into the throat of a VCR. Not sue if he thought the machine was hungry - or he was trying to hide the evidence of not eating his - food - or thought it was a toaster / grilled Big Smile

Here's a quick snap I took just before the builders start chopping the ceiling about to get a wood burner in the corner. Not much B&O on it but shows my speakers in what I think  might be their final spot. I'll see if I can get a better picture of the setup when the work is complete.
