Is that a BV-7 55 without BR/DVD ?
It is even better looking without the tiny bump! Mk I or II?
Sorry duplicate post. Forgot to copy your question when I answered. I am embarrassed to say I forget if it is a MKI or MKII. It does not have 3D so does that mean MKI?

I think the black frets look much better against the gray wall the white BL9s frets. Looks good!

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

Raslaw,
You can sell me your white frets for the BL9´s and get a pair of dark grey from me instead if you want :-)

Thats nice to know! I might be interested in them for the right price (since shipping will probably cost a bit as well)

You should be a model for BeoPlay campaign.
You look better as the other guy used for the ad.
I was looking for new earbuds and a friend of mine was looking to sell his new-in-box H3s – a match made in heaven. I think they look and sound just lovely. I was originally interested in the Natural version, but it turns out the black is also really nice in real life, almost 'space grey' like Apple devices. Speaking of which, I previously used Apple's in-ear headphones (so not the standard EarPods). These are quite an upgrade in every way
Everyone has to start somewhere, huh? This won't be the end of it...

Did B&O change the coloring scheme of the H3? I bought one of the first ones in black and they had a golden colored B&O logo. Yours's looks grey/white/silver!?

Hmm, that's interesting! The logos on mine are grey, yes. Also looking at the pictures on B&O website, the metal is a lot closer to the ANC version's 'gunmetal grey' than the 'black' they show on regular H3 page, but maybe that's unintentional.
thank you for the answer. Your's look much better than the version I had. I exchanged them for silver ones as the golden logo with high glare black color looked so cheap. Is this the 2nd generation of H3 people are talking about? Knowbody seems to know about!?

They just added more colors after a while, the dark grey to match apple devices with darker grey.I have the H3s in natural silver color and I like them very much. H5 seems nice but a little overpriced for what they are (identical to Jabra Rox that also uses the same magnetic latch and charge) even though more good looking of course. By the way, since the H5 is only held by a cord behind your head, what happens if they come loose while running? You'll drop them I guess?
On the beoplay site there's still only black, silver and now gold. They might have changed the black color scheme!?Here in Germany the electronic stores (Media Markt for example) sell "H3 2nd generation" and nobody can explain what this means!?

Lokks great Razlaw! And post your review on the difference between BL9 and BL20.
I have had the 20s for several days now. As posted elsewhere I was having problems with static but finally resolved that after connecting my Essence to my Beosound 3000 instead of Beosound 5. It seemed that if I switched from a Beosound 5 source such as N. Music to an Essence source, static occurred. Do not know if it is related to the Beosound 5 or the Behringer device used to connect the Essence to the Beosound 5. But, whatever the cause, I believe it was just a coincidence that it began around the same time as the 20s arrived.
As for comparing the 20s to my 9s, I am not sure how, or what to say. The bass is much better, lower and much more precise. I had a friend over who likes bass and has a huge subwoofer in his non B and O system and he thought the bass was too much with the bass setting just one setting above the middle on my BV7. I now have it set flat.
I find myself having difficulty comparing the the two speakers beyond the much improved bass. However, I also know want to keep the 20s ( have a 30 day period in which to return) and do not want to return the 9s to their former location. Also, when I walk in to the room where my Beolab 1s are, they clearly do not measure up to the 20s in sound. Before, the difference between the 9s and 1s was much less noticeable.
So I guess the fact that I like them so much is my comparison and that they do sound much better even if I can not articulate exactly how. Perhaps I could describe it as more precise with all types of music and all portions of the music being clearly heard. I am still waiting to see if my friend decides to buy my 9s. If he does not, they will either be moved to replace my 1s (although from a visual/design standpoint that is probably the wrong decision) or they will replace the 4000s in my bedroom.
I in no way am trying to say anything negative about the 9s. They are great speakers. But for me, in my room, the 20s seem to take it to another level. But I can see where some people might prefer the 9s overall sound as well
I absolutely adore that TV without the distraction of the BR tray and the black BL7-4!
You are a lucky man! And I am off,- trying to track down a new aluminum bezel for my TV!

Really just love your setup, clean simple but an audiovisual treat!

Looks great razlaw! Love the dark gray back wall as well, ties the black of the TV and speakers and the aluminum of the cabinet together very well.
Thanks for your comparison and thoughts with the 9s vs 20s. I find your posts really helpful as I am considering a possible change to 20s or 5s perhaps. What amazes me is the 18s and their price point, does this mean they are comparable to 9s and/or 20s too? I am getting a bit lost with B&O speakers these days!
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
I can't comment on the 18s as I have only listened to them briefly, and it was quite awhile ago. As for the 20s and 5s, my dealer described the 20s to me as 80% of the 5s, at half the price.
Also, a couple years ago I had 5s in my home very much wanting to buy a pair..I decided then that they were different than the 9s, but in my house and two my ears I could not say better.

The sound from the A1 is amazing for something that size. My girlfriend had purchased two different portable speakers and was trying them out. They sounded good, but the A1 is in an entirely different league. The other two speakers were quickly given away as gifts as soon as she heard the A1.
leosgonewild:Why don't you put the BS3000 where you have you silver Rolls Royce?
elephant:I have always thought the 5 seemed out of reach: I don't have sense for if its at 5 feet or 4 feet from the floor. I would place the 3000 below the 5 as long as I was not compromising access to the 5. My sense is the glass etc of the 3000 would complement the 5. Hope that helps.

Thanks! That is where I had the 3000 previously. It looks very nice there but difficult to conceal the power cord and Masterlink cable. That is the only drawback to that location. The height of the Beosound 5 is perfect for me. It is still below eye level and very easy for me to use.
That is one of the top two locations I am considering, even though I listed it as number 4 above. Picture is not clear, but car is an Aston Martin. One of my most prized possessions as it is one of the first gifts given to me by my wife, 20 years ago, and sadly she passed away in 2010. The Beolab 1s were a gift from me to her.

The Essence's remote ?
I previously had a link eye in the wall where the Essence remote is. As the BV7 in the other room is the audio master, spinning the wheel on the Beosound 5 to turn music on or adjusts volume turns on the speakers in the other room and adjusts volume in the other room.
Pressing the Essence remote turns music on in that room and the wheel controls volume in that room. However, I need to do some setting changes as I just realized that having changed the Beosound 5 from audio master to slave has caused a quick press of the Essence to just turn on static. Long press turns on CD in that room.
