@Yasin1

The B&O stickers on the 3 party equipment... You are closer than you think!  Smile

Did you know the Marantz AV receiver pictured has a B&O Essence mkII embedded?

They share exactly the same hardware module from Microchip....

BTW. Cool collection ! Stick out tongue

I believe that is only a very generic wifi card actually.

Actually it also does audio; https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Standard_Microsystems_CX870-3B

I'm actually quite curious about the 'hifi-ish' this card actually is?

It's a SOC (System on Chip), a memory and a network PHY, that is it! No fancy audio circuitry here! The module is 28$/1000pcs, and anyone can buy a development kit complete with software tools!

The Essense has diversity antennas on the motherboard but apart from that, the Essence hardware IS the module!

If you subtract the price of the Essence from the price of the Marantz... Whistle

It definitly has a on-board DAC for line-level output, quality?. It also has spidf and other digital connections for external (B&O chosen) DAC. Did anyone find one in the Essence?

Kvadrat cover in dusty rose

I've also relocated my cable box from the bracket to a vertical position on the wall and in the process of tidying up the cords that go from the cable box to the power outlet none of which is visible. I'm much happier with this configuration. Before with the bracket you wild see the big black snake hanging down from in front of the TV. Now you don't see it at all.

Love your house Aussie Michael, you have excellent color sense. Great combo of wall, floor, and fret color there.

I have changed from the black to the light grey kvadrat , then to the dusty blue and now dusty rose.

I think the light grey is the most successful.

Thank you Erik - yes I love the fact that I have just been able to add to the original system and the way old and new B&O equipment just blends in with any surroundings - timeless.

Our Beoworld colleague CliffT and his wife have relocated their home, and Cliff sent me these pictures to update you all on their new layout.

The first is the family BV7 (and Beosound) environment that has been optimised for Jo's usage.

The second and third pictures show Cliff's movie room in its dormant state, and then the activate state when the Avant is rotated to the optimal viewing position.

Congrats, on this premium buy. Where did you put the Telenet receiver or are you using a CI+ module.
