...And a photo of our bookcase on the other side of the room; this isn't 'posed' as such - I've just kept some 'easily scratched' stuff out of storage whilst I live here temporarily, and this is the result - Beocentre 9500, BS Moment, Beosound 2 mp3-player, BeO4 remote, Beoplay H8, BL4000's, BL19 (There's a boxed Beoremote 1 below the bottom shelf too!).

My better-half may be right when she says I've taken this B&O thing too far...

Hi Beold,

Thats a good question...

I have about 1000 LPs in storage, mostly unplayed since the mid-noughties; I only got hold of the BS5500 a few weeks ago, so it's yet to be used for it's intended purpose.  I'm emigrating soon, so once I get settled I'll have to work out how to spin my vinyl then!

Amazing how contemporary a Bang & Olufsen design can look together with newer stuff. The Beogram 2200 integrate well with Beosound Moment over line in. I just press Play and Moment wakes up from standby. Since the dust lid is "sloped" it's possible to open it enough to conveniently put on a record in that compartment Smile

Did some changes at home. Moved my 55" Avant down from the wall to a floor stand. All stuff is stored in or on the new sideboard cabinet. The Avant looks more powerful on the floor stand and it also looks bigger. Smile

Super nice. The Avant on the floor stand is a piece of art. Did you notice any changes in the sound compared to when the Avant was on the wall?

@ guy - the BC/BV6 still looks great and its nice to see you can integrate the Apple TV in to it too.  Can you use the "TV" function of the App in Apple TV?

@ EvA, your setup looks beautiful.  Do you find more flexibility with the Avant on the floor stand?

Thanks.  Not sure what you mean by the 'TV' function - I can't control the TV volume/power with the apple remote, if that's what you mean.  I use this setup mainly with BBC iPlayer together with a VPN-like service to allow access from here in Bucharest.  Also use the Danish DRTV player app, and have installed the VLC media player app to access files from my QNAP NAS.  I also use if for mirroring from iPhone/Pad services such as filmon.com and Channel 4OD - both of which are good for UK content.

The main limitation of the BV6 is that I cannot use the apps that generate a video output with hdcp (eg Netflix and Nowtv), as these are rejected by the telly (even when using mirroring from iPad).  I am using the hdmi output of the ATV4 into the DVI ('PC' socket) of the TV, and use an hdmi audio extractor to take the audio to the phono input socket on the TV.

Yes, much more. No matter were I sit, I can point the Tv at me.

And the Tv seems much bigger. People have asked me if I have got the 75". But the best thing is when all settings is on "cinema-mode" and you turn the stand so the tv comes closer to you. Smile

BS1 still rock Smile

Picture now show the powercord Stick out tongue

There will be tone controls added soon (as A6 got recently). Will be good since the placement impact the sound quite a lot.
