What a small world Smile

I opened a bottle of rosé from Bordeaux yesterday for the first time !

(And I still prefer rosés from the hillsides of Aix en Provence...)

Just finished setting up my movie room/music studio, classic 80's synth with Beolab 3000 monitor speaker (forming the rear channel speakers when used for movies):-

At the front of the room sits the tenor sax and electric piano storage by the 75" retractable screen, with Penta III's for the front audio channels:-

Geez, I can't get over how stunning the Beovision 5 is. Seriously, it has to be the best looking TV that has ever been made. So pure, elegant, and well proportioned. Also, Homer Simpson approves as well :-)

That's part of my problem Sal. I still haven't unboxed by 7-55 or Lab 5s. Here is a fantastic sound, great looking frame and picture that just fits away perfectly. Just like its forefather the Avant RF.

If they made a modern one, I'd buy two.

If you're a true minimalist and want to embrace a minimalist setup, this is a good way to go. I'd probably be better off if I could do that, but I still keep coming back to wanting bigger speakers and wanting to see my BS9000, even if it's only used to stream to via a Playmaker. But there's a lot to be said for that kind of TV/audio approach for being very stylish and minimal. Looks gorgeous, always have loved that kind of lamp too.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

What an incredible view Peter! I would be so happy and content waking up every day looking out onto that marvellous countryside. Quite wonderful!

simple and sleek chris like it a lot, are you going to get round to unboxing your 7-55 eventually or are you going to leave your setup as it is??

Samsung 55" 4K curved with Beolab 7-6 on a Beovision 7-32 motor stand.

A little bit cheaper to upgrade display in future. Waiting for prices on OLED to come down a little Big Smile

This looks great - what a good idea!

Was it hard to mount the screen and speaker to the stand? I assume it doesn't provide any motorised functionality.

That would be a great project - surely possible with Lintronic box and some sort of interface!  Anyone tried?

I'm asking myself the same question for 6 month:
When you see the low prices of old CRT beovisions with motorized stand, how difficult (easy) would it be to scrap the TV part and just keep the motor control part (and speaker part for some of them!) to "Bang an S***** TV" (I know, it's kind af an obsession… Big Smile)

Maybe for those, who missed the point of the BV Eclipse concept.

For others it is just a flat-tv with an actice 2.0 speaker connected.

I was waiting for your comment how this is not B&O.

How is the Eclipse anything else than a LG with a B&O sound bar?

Now we're finally in tour new home, the the time finally came when I could unwrap and re-assemble the vintage B&O... Lets have a Party !!!

This will now be the main kit - a BM5000 amp/tuner w/MCP5000, Beogram 3300 w/MMC4,  CD3300, and Beocord 3300 all connected up to a pair of Beovox 1600's and Mk1 5000's -  which still have the original legs and gold badges.  Smile

The original BM3300 Amp/Tuner will shortly be wall-mounted and connected to a pair of X25's I'm currently installing in the kitchen. Smile

Oh, and then there's the view from the patio :-

Can't believe it's October!
