Hi, here´s some pictures of my setup.

Greets

I have to say that looks really, really cool. Nice job.

What would look even more amazing is a little Danish Guard figure where the mini-rocket is.  That's be a true "catalogue shot" ... Big Smile

Hi srm, why do you sell your BS5e?

I came across this link: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Bang-Olufsen-B-O-BEOSOUND-5-ENCORE-incl-Bodenstandfuss-Garantie-/181112230313?pt=DE_TV_Video_Audio_HiFi_Systeme_Kombinationen&hash=item2a2b2151a9

Your setup looks very nice.

Hi Guys, thanks for your replies.

@Lee, perhaps there will be a danish guard figure in one of the next price draws :-)  ?

Beofan53, that´s an impulse sale...  Rather I'm pleased with my Encore, but i´m waiting for the first day buying of:

- Gapless Playback

- Beo 6 control

- even Ipad Control

- Showing Radio-Station-Covers.

and so on.  So much thread´s here i have comment, and much of you said:  You can wait till the end of your live.  Now i read so much of the Spotify Introductions of the BS5/BM5.  I don´t need Spotify. I only want a update, that apparent never comes.

I have my, for me, great library on my NAS, and damn yeah, i will they control via Ipad, Beo6 ....
And Yes, Millemissen, you´re right, take your Ipad and fire up your songs to the (ugly) playmaker or your Airport Express...

It´s i a shame for B&O that they will give a product named Beosound 5 Encore NEVER a real chance.  So when i sell its okay (hehe there will be other speakers from B&O too) , when i sell not, it´s okay too.

At least:
At the moment, there will for me NO reason, expect a divenly design, to buy - if it comes-  a new Audio-Product.

AMEN :-)

I have some BeoLab 9 speaker frets in a lovely rich chocolate brown if you need them... I had them re-covered to match my sofa, but then replaced the 9's with 5's and put the black covers back on the 9's to sell them.

Thanks for the offer, butI am very happy with the white.

Okay, that is much easier than my local retailer made it sound like. How much does a cover cost?

I don't remember the exact cost, but I think it was around $350 for the pair, but I could be wrong.

I love seeing these setups, very inspiring!

...
@Beoice, your setup is sleek, but a bit cold for my taste. Do you plan on putting stuff on the walls? How are the acoustics in the room?

The room is not finished yet. Of course there will be some stuff on the walls, but I would like to finish the complete setup on this wall before decorating it. During this year I want to add a motorized video projector wall above the tv and a full hd beamer on the opposite side to my setup.

The other walls are already decorated. One would get crazy in a complete white room of nearly 40qm.

beoice thats a very sleek looking clean setup really nice, do you use a beosystem 3 with your panasonic tv and if so whats the results like???

I don't have a beosystem 3. I connected audio out from the tv to a.aux of the BS9000, as I only have a 2.1 setup.

Perhaps when installing a beamer I will add background speakers with a surround sound processor. Hopefully B&O will sell the surround processor of the forthcoming "Beolab 14" setup seperatly.

The muting relay of the Beomaster 8000 has failed, waiting to get to my B&O repairman. Installed my recapped 4400 (though only a shadow of Søren Mexico's restoration!) as a replacement. Sounding almost identical to the 8000 in many ways; I'll keep this setup for a couple of months for a change Laughing

The half-track high speed Revox does a better job than my Beocord 1200 open reel deck - and 10½" reels are sweet.

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

Beautiful gear. I love big 10.5 inch reel to reels, I still miss my Pioneer RT-909. I bought it from a coworker, beautiful thing, huge brushed aluminum, auto reverse 4 track, blue fluorescent meters and tape counter. But, the previous owner's cat had slept on it for a decade, so no matter how well I cleaned it out and vacuumed out all the cat hair, after it warmed up it smelled like cat, something to which I am highly allergic. I got to where I couldn't take the sneezing and such after listening to it for a while, so sold it off for 5 times what I paid for it. Still miss it though.

What a shame, those Pioneer units look great. I have a similar issue with another B77 that has been in a heavy smoker's apartment for 15 years. The foul smell of sour nicotine fills the room every time I turn it on - so it is in the workshop waiting for a total stripping and cleaning of the circuit boards.

The TV is ugly is sin, but a BV11 is out of the budget. I like how the plants stand there like little green friends to the Beolab9s.

B&O Collector. Specializing in 1970-1990 top of the line audio systems.

I was able to get rid of the nicotine smell from my LCD projector, so this might work for you, although it takes some time. I simply placed the projector in a cardboard box with an open box of baking soda and closed the box. After a few weeks, the smell was absorbed by Arm and Hammer, and the projector has been sweet smelling ever since. I was then able to remove much of the nicotine stains from the outside surfaces with regular cleaning supplies. You may want to give it a try.

Does that mean the Beolab 5s are going ? I have a home for them Smile

More seriously, what do you think of the differences - given your apartment seems a bit small for the power of Beolab 5s.

He usually wears a hard hat when sitting idle.. Clearly this doesn't protect from nasal impacts as Soren M has pointed out!

Mika is on the right track... His shiny head is quite reflective - a Russian hat will do quite nicely!
