One could say they are fake BnO...It is certain that the 'designer' (i'd rather say 'copcat') at Pioneer have seen a pair of BL 1's...
Well - in that way you can get a pair of 'look-alikes' at a fraction of the price...in genuine plastic...
Steffen, correct description for these speakers would be Beolab 6000 form, Beolab 1 cosmetic, Pioneer Price and Chinise Quality
Lets make a little twist on this thread :)
Since we are movin to a new house we (I) need to take away all the cables I have fitted in the walls.
Here is the wall where the BC2 and BL3 was fitted.
All cables..
down in boxes..
Rikard: down in boxes..
Poor guy, now be careful moving the lot.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Yes please be carefully!
I had the same two weeks ago, luckily the employer pays the move including BEO full service.. ;-)

We will use a moving company, my bigest fear is that they damage the BV 46 or the flooring in the new house.. I have already made some damage on this floor... It is a really heavy tv..
I will take alot of time placing all things in boxes.. Puuh, I hate moving, hope I will never have to move again (we only lived here in 9 months)..
Well, as suggested by someone earlier in this thread, I pulled the shelves etc out of my bureau to make a home for my new Beogram 3000. It seems like it needs some servicing as well as the cartridge retip, but it sure looks cool!

I really loved your set up and thanks for posting. As soon as you said you were moving, i thought "oh no all those cables that you have spent money on". I didn't realise you can fish them out, but you did! So congrats.
Wish you all the success in setting up your equipment in your new place, hopefully it will be more than 9 months. :-)
Now we are moving to a house that is abit too big for us right now (almost twice the size of our apartment) - so we dont have to move in the future.. And, when we are there we are getting rid of all our movingboxes... We are all finished moving..

Indeed they do match great!
First post in the new forums! Lets see how this goes... I have been busy upgrading some things. Full beo surround sound system! 6000s in front, 4000s in the rear, and one 4000 center channel. 6000s are to be replaced by some Penta 3s on Friday! I also brought my BeoSystem 2500 out of hiding for a little photo shoot.

Looking sharp dude. That is EXACTLY how I wanted you to do the 4k, I'm glad it fits.
I can't wait to hear this!!!
on the wall opposite to the BV12 there is a DNP screen, controlled by BS3.

actually the couch can be flipped in both directions. Have a look here.
That looks great hfat,
Which projector are you using and how are you controlling it and the DNP screen? Is it connected to the cinema out on the BeoSystem 3 directly or do you have an interface between?
Hi Elms,
How are you running the 5.1 signal to your speakers - are you using an AV preamp or such? I am curious to find out the best way to run Beolabs from a non B&O TV in a surround sound context. Great setup btw!
Cheers, Jon

i'm using a JVC X9 projector, which is controlled by BS3 cinema out connected to a Lintronic box. The Lintronic -238 box is triggered by digital input signal an sends out IR signals for projector and screen.

Thanks Evan - so are these Rotels good for plugging a full set of Beolabs into via their phono connectors?

He got it right! Yes, the Rotel is fantastic for this purpose. The Rotel I have is purely a surround preamp, so it is very clean. I would argue that unless you have a beosystem processor it is the best way to drive a B&O surround system. I have all of my beolabs hooked up via line out, and I plan on wiring a trigger wire up so they switch on and off with the Rotel (the Rotel has trigger outputs, but they are 12v instead of 5v). All of my inputs are via optical in or rca line in directly from the source. Works great, and the Rotel gives you a TON of control over your sound. Maybe too much control, as I find new options every day that I haven't tried before.
EDIT: I forgot to add, that the Rotel is capable of doing a full 7.2 B&O surround system via the phono connectors. I currently have 5.2 channels plugged in. Front: beolab 6000, Center: one beolab 4000 (had to crank the preamp WAY up on this, a pair would be better), Rear: beolab 4000, Sub(s): Two Bowers and Wilkins ASW 600
My $200 purchase and maybe $100 worth or parts. Feel pretty lucky to have such a nice setup. BM 5000, BG CD50, BG 8002, BC5000, RL 60.2's.
