IF a serious bug is found then the update is not spread towards all TV sets...

Anyone managed to get BeoRemote App to work from iPhone or iPad?  I just get an immediate  "no Bang & Olufsen products detected on network" even though I have confirmed that they are on the same network. Once that message appears you can't get out of the app. I have removed and reinstalled the app but no difference. Any help would be appreciated.

It works fine with my beovision 11. I don't think the 14 is supported yet.

I was led to believe it would come as part of the latest update! Perhaps it fell off the list again!  Is it a worthwhile addition to the actual BeoRemote?

OK, so i have got Join to work, which is nice......

Interesting.....i linked my A9 and BS2 to the television....their internal sources can be selected from the Music menu on screen.........the BV14 also picked up an Airplay stream to the A9, using the Join button on the remote.......so seems to be working, albeit no control via the apps.......i suspect the BV14 / Horizon will appear in the new B&O app, rather than the Beoremote app, but who knows......

Question....having added the A9 and BS2, i can't seem to add another product....is it limited to 2 linked products at the moment?

Anyway, more interested in stability / and tweaks to the PQ........

What does the BeoTool app say? Are they all on the network

Even on th Avant non android you can only link 2 devices

This is only for the sources

For me it doesn't matter as the sources are the same on all 3 other products. Where it would matter if for example I have a CD player connected to my essence.

I have played a cd on my avant before and that was then part of the NL system - pretty neat

If I play something on the BS1 then I click join on the Avant it joins

Just did a quick check concerning the bass management bug... It's still there... You still have to select the speaker group a second time in order to have the correct speaker group settings...

What does the BeoTool app say? Are they all on the network

Hi. I have got green lights on BeoTool for everything except Software update (failed to check for new software)! Which is a bit strange as it also shows the latest software installed.  It shows the same network as the iPhone/iPad is on.

Ok downloaded and install.

At last I can use my Beolink NL/ML converterSmile

2 hours and now up and runningYes - thumbs up

Has two crasches already....

---- Room adaptation is still not applyed after stand-by (I want it off)

---- Same with Judder, I want it off

One thing with beoremote one is that, if you have apply a memory to lets say MUSIC button, you can not take it away!??

And shall be very interesting to see if the "bluish" is gone...I really hope so

to be continued.....

Software update installed and multiroom / nl function instantly functional. Very nice! At last I can use the connected speakers of tv with my moment and nl products.

4h in function and no bugs so far. Picture seems to be more clear, sound wise no feedback yet. curtains still look silly closing and opening.

Let's hope all feedback will benefit this beta.

This morning the TV was totally dead. Not react from the remote.

had this occasionally, but not much.....generally been ok since the update.......nice to have join etc, but i'll postpone judgment on stability for a week or two.....

what do you mean exactly? you know how to set them ?

has anything changed? dont you just hold down / long press on one of them to store the settings?

Yes but I will Not have anything on, lets say Music button.

My findings on NL / Multiroom so far:

I have my Moment in the same room connected to my Horizon through NL, since last week update this was finally possible. Now I can play the Moment on the connected speakers of the tv. I've made the following observations:

- Switching on the BSM should fire up the tv and directly get into NL modus (this is how V1/BV11 works), the Horizon first starts in tv modus and then switches to NL/multiroom modus. Does not look smooth at all.

- When tv is activated, sound is in start up modus (tv speakers only) and I must manually switch speaker/sound settings to select connected speakers. In V1/BV11 you can set speaker/sound modus for different sources, including NL sources. this feature is still missing in Horizon software. Should be very nice if this get's fixed during beta stage of this update.

- When music is played from BSM to NL tv's there is also information about title / artist send through. On Horizon only information displayed is connection of source, no actual playing content.

- On Beoremote app the Horizon does not show up.

- On Beomusic app the Horizon does show up and is now part of the multiroom screen. The icon for the Horizon is still missing, now is visualized as BS Essence / general player

- On Beotool app the Horizon does show up and software update status is now red, messaging "failed to check for new software". Icon for Horizon is B&O logo in stead of tv icon.

- On new B&O app (does it have a nameUnsure) the Horizon is not shown. For me this app is not usable yet because it misses multiroom control for the NL products.

So far I experienced little "misfires" of the tv itself. Only once it rebooted itself after changing the setup for wireless connecting. As said earlier the opening / closing of the curtains still is not as fluent as on my V1. Only looks silly..

Picture wise I noticed that the motion blurring seems to be less, only now it is noticeable in the subtitles.

For me it is not clear if this feedback is followed by B&O on this beta (same as the Moment testing was done by others on this forum). Hope this helps getting the software on par.

Since the latest updat my situation has gone from bad to worse!  Whilst watching Sky Q and pressing the fast forward button to skip the adverts it has crashed no less than three times. It just pops and powered down immediately, no picture, sound and the speakers go off instantly too. 

 

Not a a happy bunny. Need to roll back to previous software version to gain some stability!

yes, had a similar issue.....the remote seems to cause crashes......i had that with previous software as well.......at times causing a crash, though not often, but more often the TV becomes less responsive to some of the remote buttons........recently when watching Sky, when i press Guide, it tries to pull up the TV guide (though i have no aerial attached, and never use the TV function).......switching to another source and back again seems to fix it, but this is happening quite often..........

quite why the remote can trigger off these issues, i dont know......

Oh dear. When you did the last (week 10) update did the remote update too like it did for the week 5 upgrade? Mine didn't and has not since.

My BV14 sometimes comes totally blocked, no respond at all. Unplugged and works again.

Maybe it has something with mulitiroom function!?

Anyone else has this NEW problem??

Additional feedback on NL modus; the tv does not start up automatically when music starts to play from the Moment. Tried the join function from remote but that made the tv crash completely. Reconnecting the power cord brought back the tv. Playing music from Moment only possible when tv is already activated.

General remarks:

- Netflix app only occasionally works. Very disappointing because the app allows 4K / ultra HD playback, as the AppleTV does not support this.

- Sometimes when in setup screen only way to return to tv modus is by selecting tv in menu and not by pushing return arrow on remote.

- Room adjustment / light sensor for picture contrast feels to aggressive when lights are dimmed in the room at night

- response time from remote instructions still not up to speed, especially when tv starts up

Netflix is not supported.....yes i know some of us have it working occasionally, but from all that i am told, it should not work, and isnt supported, so dont expect any fix to it.....

And yes, i also have the second issue in your list....only returns to tv mode from set up by selecting TV from menu, or one of the my buttons if you have it set to that input.....

Did you not receive a Nvidea Shield to provide Netflix @4K?  I thought everyone who bought the BV14 received one?

I haven't yet downloaded the update as yet. I'm wondering whether it is worthwhile. Should I wait or just go for it and hope for the best? What is everyone's thoughts?

its certainly no worse, and you get the audio sharing multi room type function.......the TV is not yet visible in any of the apps, though i do believe that isnt far away.....most likely in the new B&O app.....

difficult to answer that question....given that there is functionality yet to arrive / scheduled for later updates.....but there seem to be a few common issues, all detailed on the forums.....B&O seem to be able to add their bits of integration without too many issues (matrix integration was smooth in January, and sharing audio sources last week seems more or less OK)....the bigger issue is that the TV and remote seem to get occasionally confused, and subsequent button pushes can confuse the TV's software, which then triggers off a crash and reboot......

they should really engage a few of us early adopters, get us to help out, partly so they can see the activity logs we can send over.....it strikes me as eminently fixable, but only if they are fully aware of the common issue (s) and get the relevant info out of some users.....

i'd be loathed to send it back, its such a beautiful looking TV, and while there remain issues as described above, its not all bad - early issues i had with sound disappearing seem to have been solved, and the picture quality has definitely improved since the initial release......

If you leave out the audio issues then my set is pretty good at the moment. Picture look good! Remote works without problems; No "no signal" in statusbar; set doesn't turn off on it's own.

I was hoping that someone somewhere has a set that doesn't have any of He issues encountered here.

- Booting up crashes and only remedy is disconnecting power cord

- Message Google Play Movies stops shows up

Anyone else who encounters problems with latest software?

Ok som positive reflection instead of all bads...

* Bluish parts in the shadows seems to be fixed! One of my top prio.

* TV seems faster in the menu and start-up

* Picture improvement overall

Oh yes.. much the same on my BV14, although I am celebrating two nights of error free viewing! Might be speaking too soon..
