Weebyx:... a simple status update would be nice.. It was B&O that got us engaged in the Beta testing, and just ending communication from one day to the other without notice and explanation, that is a bit weird I guess. We all would understand if they said, "we are very busy with all your input, and we will focus on fixing that for now, we will get back to you with a status within the next month or so"../Jacob
Hello
I follow this interesting thread for a long time. It’s very exciting to see how Lyle’s team has improved the software.
So because it’s my first post on this forum, let me quickly introduce my B&O setup: A Beosound Moment with 2 Beolabs 18 and a Beolab 19 which are wirelessly connected.
And now, it’s time to share about the problem I encounter. Since yesterday, my beolabs are disconnecting alternatively (lights are switching from green to red). So I decided to factory reset my Moment (it helps the first time I encountered this problem many time ago). But now my speakers aren’t correctly detected by my Moment. Instead of detecting my beolab speaker, it detects 3 speakers called “other”. And when I click on “Locate” no sound came out from any speaker. So far, I tried to reset the Moment pad, the Moment Soundheart, each speaker, but I still have the same problem. The speakers are still wrongly detected and I get no sound from them.
Do you have any idea about how to solve the issue, that looks like a software issue ?
PS : Of course the software is up to date with the latest public release.
Thank you.

It is a shame you did not read the thread a few pages back, and also the thread about missing sound from BL19. There seems to be an issue with the 2.1 SW and wireless speakers, especially when doing factory reset.
As far as I know, there is nothing you can do about it, other than contacting your dealer, and get in touch with B&O. If possible, I would try to connect them with cables to see if that solves the problem until a new SW is released.

Sorry Weebyx about missing this thread… Concerning my dealer, I spoke with him today and the only solution he provides to me is to unplug my Moment and all my speakers from power supply for at least one hour and it didn’t solve the problem.

Nope. As far as I know, the only thing to do is downgrade to 2.0, but this is not something that is easy to do. B&O is aware of the problem, but for now I would advise to borrow powerlink cables from your dealer and see if that is a solution until the bug has been fixed.
Beroli:I am just afraid, that I will stuck with a beta–software, while someone at B&O decides to pull the plug. Now, I know, that I am not alone with my opinion, and I need to decide, if I like to participate further.
Following this thread for more then a month now without participating. I actually think, there will be no more further big development on the Moment's software.
We helped the B&O team a lot to get the Moment on the right track, a thing B&O would have never succeeded without the help of a beta team. The many different network systems in customers home's, the use of DLNA etc. Was there biggest problem, and I do not expect further big software updates in the nearby future.
Am I now satisfied with the Moment , yes and no. Yes because I have finally a long expected network player from B&O that integrates with my system. No, because I expected more for my hard earned money. I expected a system that worked excellent from the beginning and not needed input from customers to make it work. I payed for a network player that should work as supposed from the very first beginning and not needed years of development to make it work, as I'm used to get with all systems from this brand in the years that have been past. And I will be very carefull in the future before buying any new network systems from this brand.

I really hope you are not correct in this, but I also fear that you are correct :)
The Moment for me now is "ok", it is not the perfect system I hoped it would be, and the latest issues with the speaker troubles has stopped me from buying a new set of Beolab 18's and a 19. I was so close on pulling the trigger, but it will not happen for now, I will wait and see how the bug fixes goes :)
The only big issue I have now, is that my Moment 95% of the times, does not recognize changes made in the Deezer app or on the website. I need to do a re-scan or add the stuff from within the Moment search page. This is annoying, but not nearly as severe as the people now stuck with an expensive sound system, that does not work with the expensive speakers from the same brand.
So, for now I will keep my money in the pocket and see what happens over the next months. I know summer is here, so the next month at least I don't expect anything from B&O.
Hi everyone!
Could someone suggest me a NAS that can sync Itunes music which will be also compatible with the Moment through DLNA.
I will appreciate your suggestions and opinions.
Cheers!

mbolo01:I use QNAP NAS to store my iTunes library and Twonky pkg on QNAP as DLNA server. I also use Metadatics (OSX app) to manage covers and other metadata when not properly set by iTune. All works well together as long as you don't have DRM protected tunes.

Thanks for your opinion mbolo01. what model of qnap are you currently using? Do you have purchased music from itunes? Purchased music from itunes is what I want to sync with NAS so the Moment can stream it.
zerocool143:what model of qnap are you currently using?
I'm using a TS251+, 2 x 3TB for my 36k tracks and 27k pictures using 930 GB + an external USB drive to backup all data on a weekly basis.
The TS251+ can be connected to TV via HDMI to display your pictures or movies, nice feature to be honest.
I no longer have iTunes purchased tracks, mine had DRM and would have not been playable by the DLNA server, that said, I'm not aware about the newest iTunes purchased tracks, maybe other forum members can answer your question.
Cheers
zerocool143:Does anyone experience buffering while using deezer or tunein on your moment?
Never happened to me
zerocool143:Does anyone experience buffering while using deezer or tunein on your moment? I had encounter 2 clients having the same issue which is kinda strange to happen since the internet speed on both site are fine.

Deezer is fine, but the Moment kicked me out of TuneIn - can log in on my other kit including iMac, iPhone, Essence etc. The speakers go on and off like xmas trees, though.

vlohjr1:Yes I get cut out very frequently with both don't know if it is buffering........and drives me up the wall
Beroli:They are alive! Just received 2.2.12485 on my Moment. Don’t know the changes yet, don’t know, if it is a public release - but I am really satisfied, that the lights in the B&O-IT-department are still on. Let’s hope, that the changes will be awesome and that some said issues are now fixed. Cheers Beroli

Maybe the team are alive, but now I have a useless Moment !!
So.. Be very careful with this update !!
Exactly the same speaker behavior with my 18's this morning.

Wired or WISA, does your Line-In work, or do you not use it?
Post update: no playback at all from any sources. Line In is detected but no sound, Deezer/TuneIn/DLNA tracks/radio are blinking but never playing, Wisa speakers 18&19 are detected properly but no sound.
Waiting for next update .....
Moment with speakers connected to BV11; operates normal after update
EDIT:
Works now ..... not sure if it is related but my Moment has a NL cable associated to the power plug to solve ground issues (if i remember well). I disconnected the NL cable, powered off/on and it works now with Deezer, and my Wisa ...... but ...... Beolab 19 has to be taken out of the speakers set otherwise when selected as a subwoofer it behaves like normal speakers and the sound of one of the two 18 is reduced ... in a word: crap

I also hade the problem with never playing songs/radio, just a steady blinking.. That was resolved with a power on/off..
Still no sound from right channel or Line-in :(
Weebyx:Still no sound from right channel or Line-in :(
I confirm, no sound form Line-In after the upgrade
If you have one, ave you drive removing the BL 19 from your speakers?

I am in contact with B&O, and they might pick up my unit for testing / replication, so hopefully we will get this fixed quickly, something has gone very wrong with this version unfortunately :(

I reported the following to the beta address, not sure it is the good one ..
- Update was not flawless at the JB level. Stuck with the warning sign, sound wheel not operating, several paper clip resets to get it back fully functional- BL 19 not functioning anymore, behaves like a normal speaker when selected as subwoofer, I.e not doing its subwoofer role + impact on one of the two BL 18 sound (very low volume). Taking it out of the speakers configuration brings both BL 18 to normal, but BL 19 has no use anymore- Line-in no longer working (turntable)- when pressing a source item (Deezer, TuneIn, DLNA), it keeps blinking and no music streams. Power off/on brings back to normal until next blinking occurrence
But since i reported, my right channel has stopped too, so I have configured two left channel and introduced back the subwoofer .... which works as expected so far.
Beroli:New Expert-Mode in the DLNA settings
Great improvement for my large collection! DLNA scans no longer automatic and continuous, it gives back the full CPU to music streaming.
To be tested: Artists images sel-management

My Moment has been picked up by Lyle, always great service :) They will look into it, so lets hope "it is a small issue", that can be fixed fairly quickly :)
New Issue: Whistling in the BL 18 speakers, independently of the source (DLNA, Deezer, TuneIin), anyone else?
Weebyx: Norwin: Exactly the same speaker behavior with my 18's this morning. Wired or WISA, does your Line-In work, or do you not use it? /Jacob
WISA for the 18's and the 19 is connected through cable as that speaker does not produce sound over WISA anymore after the 2.1 update. Line in I am not using as I connect my Samsung TV wireless to my Moment and I have no other equipment to connect to line in.
Would be nice for us beta testers to get a function to downgrade to any of the former versions. That way we can enjoy our expensive equipment when software is not functioning as supposed and we gave our testing input to B&O.
Great suggestion Norwin and it’s also interesting for non-beta testers too.
Or to backup the firmware on a USB-stick at the bottom.
