Hi - I have a BM6500 which I want to keep in a cupboard with an extra speaker kit - my BM6500 is connected to a link system (video in another room ). I want to connect the speakers to the extra speaker kit so that I cna hear video sources and operate the Beomaster from inside the cupboard. I may have messed up Link and Option settings - does anyone know what these should be please?
I mean to add that it all works fine until I plug in the extra speaker kit which did work in another setup - when that is plugged in a red light flashes but the receiver doesn't react to the commands.
I would set the BM6500 to option 0 so the remote eye is off and the TV and link room to LINK 2 for the MCL2A and option 2 for the TV. The manuals are on site here for silver users such as yourself

Thanks Peter - I tried that and checked the wiring in the plugs and MCL unit but still no joy - I think there maybe a problem with the MCL unit - will give it a try with a BM5500 and see if that fares any better

Had more or less the same problem with my BM7000 and 2 MCL Units. After changing the MCL-Units i found the error in the BM7000.
Please consider in your test that not all BM5500 have the Link Option.
Good Luck
