Hi

Has anybody used any B&O speakers in the garden?

I'm getting the house rewired and need advice on how I will distribute music to the garden.

Are there any B&O speakers that are for outdoor?

Please help.

I have Masterlink and Networklink and can possibly do anything with my setup.

Regards

To my knowledge there are no B&O speakers for outdoor use. A1 and A2 are splash proof, but I guess you are looking for something for fixed installation.

Hi,

i have two Beolab 2000 wireless connected. They are outdoor the whole year!  They are protected against rain (mounted under an open roof)

On my terrace i have a beolab 3500.

All for 10 or more years now. I have to clean them once a year because little spiders like them as well.

I bought some spare beolabs but yet not needed them.

All connected with ML and Wirelss 1. The compents where mounted in my kitchen and bathroom before.

Another solution could be using a Beolink Passive conncted to ML and use a pair of professionel Elektrovoice outdoor speaker.

Ralf

Thanks Ralf that gives me an idea to have some RJ45 ports outside in enclosed boxes and use them as Masterlink when I need to. 👍🏻👍🏻

However, I want to install speakers between shrubs and bushes.

Dealer recommends an amp with dedicated outdoor speakers all controlled by BS Essence - RCA out. This was on a quick phone call.

Sounds okay to me but now there's an amp involved which needs to be controlled? Switched On / Off?

How would the volume be controlled? From the BS Essence wheel?

I'm installing some sonance outdoor speakers around a pool. The SR1. Has a sub and 8 satellites.

I'm using an essence to make them BeoLink compatible as well as their own distinct source for airplay Bluetooth etc.

I'm using an older BeoLink passive as an amp.

But the new 2 Chanel amp would work well for this too.

Hi MJ

Yes you are absolutely correct and I was fully recommended this a year ago during initial talks in installing Control4.

I suppose this speaker set still stands and will work perfect with the B&O.

I will go ahead with Sonance 👍🏻👍🏻

Have you seen the Origin Acoustics outdoor range? Partnered with the more powerful BeoAmp2 these are a force to be reckoned with. Sonance speakers were made by Speakercraft, the original guys from Origin Acoustic!

The Origin Acoustics outdoor range looks just like the Sonance range.

I will definitely be using a BeoAmp2.

The subwoofers look really powerful!

👍🏻👍🏻

Got the sonnarray sr1 installed yesterday.

Absolutely fantastic.

I will install these in EVERY outdoor job I do where budget permits.

I'm using an essence and an old BeoLink passive to run them.

They are incredible.

Hi Mj

I went for the Tru Audio outdoor landscape range.

2 underground 10inch subwoofers and 8 speakers.

3 speakers running along each side in the bushes. 2 speakers in the middle bushes. Still thinking where to put the subs.

I will post pictures of the install soon but here is the garden with annex being built as we speak.

I'm planning to install the Sonance Sonarray SR1 this summer, but wondering how to connect it. The installer is adamant about using the Sonance amp SR 2-125 to power it.

How would I connect this to a Beosystem 3? For amp inputs, it has L/R RCA, SPDIF Coax, or Toslink. Can I use a PowerLink to RCA and have it as a speaker zone? If I use an Essence, can I use an RJ45 to RCA cable?

Pick up a beosound passive kit. Very affordable.

And power it with that. The sonance amp is crazy expensive. I've put them in with the passive.

They're fantastic speakers. Seriously fantastic.
