Many thanks
Merlarky
Hi Peter
Just realised i cant spell....many thanks for the links
That looks a nice bit of kit...cheapest ive found so far is £139....
Ive bought leads from Steve before, he is a very nice and helpful guy.
Its not my main stereo set up, but i have it running through a pair of beolab penta mk3
They are just suberb, so like to make the most of it.
Cheers
Gary
Hi Peter...
Just an update..i managed to get hold of a audioengine b1...what a nice bit of kit...
Now subscribed to Spotify so i can make use of the highest 320 kps bit rate for downloads...sounds great.
Thanks for the recomendation.
I looked at these options - but went the route of a cheap ( Tesco Hudl2) android tablet for the job, running spotify and digital radio feeds via the Aux. Sounds great, easy to use, well under £100uk all in.
Hi
I much prefer Google Audio Chromecast to bluetooth - they say the sound is better (I can't tell - ears getting old) but it's more stable than bluetooth.

And they're only £20 from Currys / PC World at the moment! You will also need an adaptor to convert the mini jack plug into a DIN plug like this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Android-iPhone-MP3-3-5mm-Jack-to-Naim-Quad-B-O-Lead-5-pin-din-1m-WHITE-Cable-/252281935018?hash=item3abd2cd4aa:g:tVIAAOSwG-1Wuf5M
Keep in mind that most times you will need the paid services to be able to use Chromecast Audio - but at that price, I'd get one anyway.
I'm a freeloader, so for the little Spotify use I have, I usually AirPlay to the Chromecast that is connected to my TV and from there to the Beosystem

Sorry to reply like this but i cant remember how to start a thread / post a question....do you still have your pentas ?... mine are still awsome....but i have a question...do you know if you can change the txt on the displays ?....i want to change AUX to say something else...??
Thanks Gary and Peter (sorry for not seeing this thread sooner!)
I would agree that Google Chromecast Audio (or Apple Airport Express if you use Apple devices) will out perform bluetooth, both for range and sound quality. I haven't yet found any way to change the text on the Penta displays - if you find a way, please let me know!
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.
