My question: when is Standby All and Standby per product ready and when can we have DNLA access to the content using the new APP
B&O answer: We are working on Standby All and Standby and will be ready with few weeks. DNLA access will be provided this spring.

Hej Rudi
Tak for dit feedback.

Hi Jan and Millemissen
We're aware of this and have a fix going out today. This will also include some crash fixes and images disappearing from music and radio pages on certain navigation patterns.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The fix will be live in 2-3 days depending on app store review time.

I just began to play with the new App this morning. And until the above functions are added, it really isn't a replacement for BeoMusic. Don't get my wrong, it's pretty. But I find it at the moment to be a fancy playback device, rather than anything more. I'm eager to see this app perhaps take the place of BeoMusic with the necessary added functionality (i.e. standby, source selection -- including DLNA (hopefully with search), etc)
Sharing is caring, right?
I thought I'd share an issue I notified the iOS app crew about, and the reply I got.
My (shortened down) message:
1: In the "current playing" view, the album picture covering the top half of the screen is often missing. This seems to happen if I start playing something from Deezer using the interface on the Moment, and then open the app afterwards. If I start playing something using the app, the album picture is ok.2: In the same view, the little heart does not seem to reflect whether I have loved a track or not. It is black either way. If I press it, it flashes white once and turns black again immediately.
And the (shortened down) reply I got this morning:
1) We'll try to reproduce this issue, thanks for the detailed description2) This is an issue caused by the combination of the Moment and the app. The Moment does not correctly provide the app with the source of the music (e.g. Deezer) so we cannot determine if we are able to favorite the track. I believe we'll be updating the app to remove the heart icon for the Moment for this reason until the Moment
Other than that, I asked for shuffle/repeat, and iPad version, and an apple watch app. The two first they're working on, as far as I could gather, though they couldn't commit to a specific timeline. The last one they took note of as a feature request.
Has anybody else experienced that first bug as well?
I think this is going to turn out really well. I like the direction this is heading in, both with the Moment software and the iOS app, and I like the aggressive pushing of updates and the involvement by B&O "officials" here on the forum. I see a bright (and not so distant) future for a connected B&O world.

Some behaviour i have noticed on the X ios app that could be improved in future versions
If i tap my BS1 without using the app and then i start the app, it doesn't show me "whats playing now"
For example, I was playing something on the a9 earlier in the dining room, then went out and the a9 was off
Later i went to sit down next to DARIUS BS1 and then tapped the top, then tried to tap again to change to deezer and it didnt work, so i went to the app, and it showed the a9 but i didnt want to play that tune in. So it would be better to show a now playing ?
I like that on the app you select your music then you select your device - that is more intuitive that selecting your device then the source then the music
New version out ...
I really really like the intervals and progress that this app updates with.
It gives me the faith back, that B&O have seen the light, and that they need to act quick and not let stuff just die, this is what is required now, since the move to more SW than HW.
Great !!
Can't wait to see the future now :)

Cheers, thanks Weebyx
I saw the update after your post
It says that it "this version fixes a bug where credentials for Deezer and TuneIn were deleted on the product"
So this explains why when i tapped to change the source and deezer wouldn't start
Now i must check my credentials.
Agree with you mate that they are really pulling their finger out getting their software quickly deployed if there is a bug
That's why in the other post i said in 5 words that they are changing - this is exactly what i was referring to. I think they realise if they don't - they'll all be out of jobs becuase the brand wont survive.
So true on both statements.
OT: I like the new app very much, would be fantastic to have some kind of mood play functionality - but let's settle for the shuffle first. :)
Hi Thomas
In general, I like the new APP better than Beomusic and it works overall faster and better,
I have one issue showing up yesterday, I play some music from RadioTunes on the TuneIn "radio" by adding the link in the wen setup. This has worked well and still works.
But, the new B&O app can not handle this radio station.
When I try to select this radio station nothing happens - but works well on the Moment or Essence if I use the local control, so the app seems like not knowing this way of setup
Looking forward to have this solved in a coming release
BR Rudi
Michael:+1 on thanking you for participating in the forum and giving us some clarity on the development side. I too have already submitted feedback.

I feel stupid for asking, because this has to be just me who is missing something... but what is the thing with the order of the albums in the Music section?
Seven of my favourite albums are shown on the index page, as my "favourite albums", but how does the app choose these? Doesn't seem to be either the albums I favourited last, or the albums I've listened to most.
If I press the three dots in the lower right tile I get a list of all my albums. But again, how are they sorted? Doesn't seem to be neither alfabetically by artist or album name. Or chronologically, neither by date added or release date. Is there somewhere I can choose how they are sorted? A setting that I've missed?
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this. The new app is getting better, but I have actually found myself using the BeoMusic App still, because of this.
Using the new app:
when I see my V1 there as a device on my NL and click that, I am prompted to setup Google Cast.
Following the instructions I am redirected to the Google Home app in order to set it up as a member of a (cast) group.
The (iOS) app asks me to search for 'the hotspot' of my V1 to access the configuration.....
However my V1 is hardwired to my network. I have the wifi dongle, though - but never used it.
Is offering Google Cast for the V1 a bug in the app?
Or is there another way to configure it as a cast receiver.
P.S. I never heard of Google cast support for the V1 etc - but I must admit, that I get somewhat pussled by this behaviour of the app.
That said - cast support for V1/BV11/Avant 2014/BSys4 would be fantastic !!!!!!
Has anyone further knowings here - Mr Anderson please elaborate.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
i see the same as you for my BSys4, though only when i go to my products under settings........and then i get / follow the same path as you.....i don't have a dongle for my BSys4, so.....
In the new app, if i select my BSys4 in the usual way (i.e. tap on the product icon shown at the right of the Chose what to play grey band at the bottom of the screen).......then you shouldn't be prompted to set up Google cast.....as it is, control of sources (guess similar for the BV11 etc) is limited.......but that should get populated over time i assume.......
@Millemissen: This is a bug. The cast flow must not be triggered for TVs. I will have this fixed right away so that we can have it out in the eminent release.
@Thomas
What a pity ---- I was almost beginning to hope for a coming Google cast support on the V1 etc ;-(
But thanks for checking, anyway.
Yesterday I downloaded the new Bang & Olufsen app onto my iPhone 7. Since upgrading to the new app, I'm experiencing crackling noises when I adjust the volume. Im using the soundmoment, which is hard wired into my 55" Avant TV. My BeoLab 5 speakers are also hard wired into the TV. I've swirched off the TV and Soumdmoment for 20 seconds but to no avail. I've also installed the new app on my partner's smart phone, but still no joy. Do you have any recommendations?
Regards, Phil

Don't they mean the TV switches to the HDMI input of the chromecast when used trough the app? The Sys4 does not use HDMI-CEC but does respond to certain signals like on. Sounds interresting.
If I understood correctly your problem you shouldn't worry cause I am experiencing the same with a pair of beolab 18 connected on a V1.
The set up:
moment using V1's speakers. Beolab 18 connected to V1.
I found a way to overcome the problem but not very convenient. If you go to the upper right corner and you tap on the icon where you see all the available products and you pick your tv you can put the volume up or down without any noise. In my case (even from that screen) if I was trying to increase/decrease the volume from the moment slider I always had noise and some times heratic behaviour, but when you move the TV's slider the moment slider follows without any problem. Inconvenient? Yes but for the moment it is the only solution I found
So sorry I forgot to quote

As Mr Anderson already confirmed, this is a bug in the app.
It should not offer Google Cast for a V1, since there is no support for casting in the tv.
As for a possibly connected ChromeCast donge (via HDMI) - this would not work so, because there is no way, that the app can know which kind of external device is connected to a HDMI-input on the tv.
Those who want to sort of 'NL-integrate' a CCA dongle connected to a tv, can make it part of a 'Cast Group' and will have to activate the input used with the BeoRemote in order to have it 'join-in' to the cast session.
Ok, so here is my latest bug report :
- Essence remote becomes again unstable on an Essence MKII under 1.15.17881 firmware, I have to delete it and reboot the Essence to be able to pair it again.
- Radio is becoming unusable : some radios like french RFM station are just unavailable (it jumps from it to the next one when trying to select it), while it's completely available on the TuneIn app. Strange behavior. Add to this that from time to time by just clicking left or right on the Essence remote, the station jumps to a completely different list of radio stations (going to "local stations" from "favorites" for instance seems to be the usual behavior).
I'm quite fed up trying to just use normally the products I paid for... I was hoping that the good feedback from the dev team will solve the basic issue soon and add some usability, but we're seeing less and less updates, less and less new features recently... It seems that the dev team is as frustrated as us...
I hope to get my stuff working correctly soon, wishing all the best to the dev team, but I fear that B&O is just losing ground more and more in this technological battle.

Can someone at B&O fix the horrible alarm functionality on the app, please!
My Sonos cheapie has an easy way to wake to music, by setting an alarm. My very pricey A9 does not, unless I were to decide to subscribe to TuneIn subscription service. I don't know what is happening in Denmark, but in the US, Spotify is the #1 streaming app, by a wide margin. While TuneIn I had never even hear of, until I set up the A9. No, I don't want to subscribe to a second, much less prominent music service. Would you also please let me wake to whatever I have set up with DLNA, too? Thanks!
And can someone explain to me what the heck does it mean to wake to "Standby" or "All Standby"? This is a true head-scratcher, which the app does nothing to explain. Does this mean it's a choice for folks who would like to have music playing at them all night, then go silent when it's wakeup time?? I don't understand what else it could mean.
