Whoops

 

  • Detachment of drivers from Firmware
  • Custom driver editor
  • Support for H.264 / RTSP camera's with new Beolink2 App
  • Detailed monitoring by clicking device at the bottom
  • some new and some updated drivers for existing devices
  • Drives stored in an online repository making it easier for finding more drivers

The driver editor is what excites me the most as we move away from custom strings, those people who can write a driver could share them and we could have drivers for loads of things.

Hi,

I just did the Update but now I have a green light flashing quickly, which means critical error...

Taking the gateway of the mains did not help - resetting did not help...

Any ideas?

Can you still reach the BLGW via web browser?

The update should not be interrupted with a power outage

Hi,

the gateway is not reachable (anymore) via webinterface. But the update went well until the gateway said "rebooting"... (I did not interrupt the update process)

... now it is dead - still flashing fast green...

Do a factory reset then re-attempt.

He update takes several minutes. Be sure not to disturb during that time.

Very strange

Perhaps you need your dealer to flash it directly or reboot again.

Has it moved to another IP?

Have not seen it crash with updates

Hi,

I already tried a factory reset - did not solve the Problem... (maybe that is what is ment by "critical error" ;-(

The Gateway had at least half an hour time to do the update and the last word it said was "rebooting"...

... now it does not boot anymore. So I do not have an IP-adress and therefore it does not shop up in my rooter.

My dealer is informed and the Gateway is still under garanty.

Do you have 'fing'. You could just make sure it's not on the network somewhere else?

Hi,

unfortunately not, no luck with "blgw.local". I think, it first has to boot up, to find it in the local network.

For me it is not the best time with B&O - last week one of my BeoLab5 died - no repair before end of this month... now the BLGW...

...waiting for the things to come...

So who is going to develop drivers :)

I think the online repository is going to be great now it's detached from FW.

Can you imagine in a years time the amount of devices we can connect to.

The BLGW in my opinion can now be a home automation system rather than an interface to one

several repeats with the same outcome.

made a backup - unplugged the BLGW - re-plugged

started downloading - reaches 100% - the BLGW updates Smile

BeoLink Gateway | Release Notes

Changes in BLGW 1.5.0 since previous BLGW SW version 1.4.1:

New features

  • Detachment of BLGW drivers from the firmware. Some drivers are now stored in the cloud and can be added/updated without a firmware update to BeoLink Gateway. Find more drivers under Tools > Advanced > Install external drivers.
  • Cut, Copy & Paste in macro programming tab
  • Convert commands to Lua code using the [Convert to code] button. This way it is possible to edit them in text view instead which is useful in some cases when there is a lot of the same type of commands.
  • Support for H.264 / RTSP cameras. This only works in the new BeoLink App 2 and it is still required to add a path for a JPG still image for the web panel on the TV.
  • By clicking the system in the bottom of the BLGW configuration page detailed connection status messages are shown.
  • Monitor have been updated with more information and if you have macros running over a long time / looping they are shown in the right side of the monitor and they can also be stopped from there.
  • Custom driver editor - makes it possible to write your own driver on the gateway itself and test it as you go along. A driver development guide as available on beointegration.com.
  • Indication to users if a device or system is offline.
  • Support for the new Android TV platform.

  • amBX Lighting system
  • Custom HTTP - Used for integrating with REST/JSON interface systems and services
  • Open Weather - Trigger macros based on the weather conditions

after updating the firmeware (and the blgw app) the hue driver has a problem. there is no update of the slider in the beolink app. if you control the light with a hue switch or a hue motion sensor the slider in the beolink app do not update the level of the light. (and no colour update) but you can control the hue light wicht the slider of the beolink app.

Okay, i have update the old beolink app. on the beolink1 app there is still no update of the status from the hue bridge.

On the new beolink2 app the update works fine.

But: first look on the new beolink2 app

- light and scene are different icons in the app. I control my light with custom strings an so all my light buttons are in the scene section. But the hue light are in the light-section. I can not define the custom strings to be a light switch or a shade.

- all my buttons with feedback status led are now buttons without status led in the new beolink2 app.

- Spotify integration from beosound 5 in the beolink2 app would be great but I think only a never fulfilled desire ;-) (I know multiroom deezer is the b&o future)

Hello

I have the same issue with my Global Cache device for my curtains it ends up in scenes and not shades which is a shame becuase on the BLGW its seen as a device not a shade.

I will ask the question if it would be possible to designate a device as a type.

I will also mention the feedback button as I am missing this also.

The other option would be to drive a driver to replace your custom strings perhaps

No idea but if you download it and try it won't hurt as it's a separate app.
