Hi Nick,

if Pentas are connected to BV 7-40 and Ouverture and BV 7-40 are connected via masterlink:

BV 7-40: V.OPT = 2

Ouverture: A.OPT = 0

Good luck!

Regards

No, if you add a Beovision via masterlink in another room, this BV has to be set to V.OPT = 6.

Sorry - not quite correct. If your BV is the main TV, the videomaster, set V.OPT to "2", no matter in which room it is installed. V.OPT 6 is a slave mode for link TVs.

Assuming you have a BV7-40 MKII, which Pentas do you have - MK III? Did you set the mode switch to video?

Are the Pentas registered in the BV7 Speaker menu? Do you use fully wired Powerlink cables? As far as I remember, BL Penta need these PL cables.

So your Pentas have no Powerlink. Do you use Speakerlink or Line in?

Are the mode switches set correctly?

If I remember correctly the Pentas sould turn automatically after a certain time when signal disappeared.

Sorry, Steffan, a little bit misunderstanding. Of course:

- BV in mainroom (videomaster): V.OPT = 2

- BV in linkroom: V.OPT = 6

I have definitely put the bv7 into option 2 and it won't turn the speakers on when watching dtv but they come on with the cd fine! I have connected my sky box with a hdmi to the dvi socket and a scart is plugged in for I assume the audio is this where I am going wrong?

But I assume your speakers will turn on if you press SPEAKER = 2 or 3 while watching TV!?

Take a look in the MENU: There you can define the speakers to turn on in audio and video mode. Set for video mode SPEAKER = 3. Then your two speakers and the center speaker of BV 7 will turn on when you press TV/DTV from standby.
