I have been away for several days and nights during which this thread seems to have doubled in size !

So just a little experiment I conducted this afternoon, before I saw all these posts, was

1. Using the X app (in beta mode)

2. Nothing started

3. Select the BLC NL/ML

4. Select from its device menu MUSIC

5 This started playing from the Essence in the other room my last Essence Deezer playlist item (ColdPlay ... how apt) but NOT to the Essence's speakers

6. My ML destinations activated and playing to their speakers (as MUSIC is defined on that side of the BLC as Net.Music (and as my MacMini was not beolink/beoport active) with the source being the BLC and ColdPlay being the music

7. The setup unfortunately activated ALL my NL: BV8 and BS4

8. I deactivated the BV8 (red dot standby button)

9. I left the BeoSound 4 playing until

A. The ColdPlay playlist came to an end and everything went quiet

this is basically what i had with beomusic. i haven't got it to work with X app, but looks there is a way.

did you get TuneIn to work?

your playlist is from a dlna server or deezer? in either case, were you able to switch channels? or even select other things?

i checked again, tunein and deezer worked through beomusic. even switching channels worked. however, selecting a specific channel or album (from dlna) did not work.

Tried as you suggested. I selected the ML/NL that is attached to the BV7 in the X app. I went to music and tried to select a song from the DLNA server. I receive the error message "could not insert into playqueue". I then tried radio instead. Same issue, but a different error message: "action not supported by the selected product".

To clarify - I am using the beta version that is public as stable in the IOS store. I am not part of the testlfight betas. Has this bug been fixed in the meantime?

I am using the TestFlight beta.

Looks like what I am experiencing is a RESUME function. i.e. I can restart on the BLC the last Deezer "collection" I was playing on the Essence.

I repeated my test, and if you recall I had let the ColdPlay selection run to its end.

This time it started back at the begging of the ColdPlay selection.

I then tried to switch the BLC's selection and Plex DLNA insertions and Deezer insertions all failed.

Even the one I had resumed would not insert [:\'(] see image below.

However I was able to insert by activating the Essence (and setting its volume to 0) but that's hardly a realistic use case.

Got it. So, it is confirmed that the testflight beta is not at the feature set of the beomusic app yet when it comes to ML/NL support. Let alone adding more functionality.

Fingers crossed that this is being worked on and fixed soon.
