This is the highlights We have implemented a notification control/ lock screen control for both platforms. It was a bit of a struggle, they're not really meant for playing on a speaker but from the phone itself. Items in the Play Queue can now be reordered, just drag in the thumb far right. The Feedback view has been improved, you can select more specifically what you want to give feedback on. The app is now translated to Dutch and Italian, more is coming. Bug fixes and performance improvements, the usual one. We spend quite some time refactoring the code and getting rid of some technical debt. Known issues The metadata (album art, title etc) can still behave oddly at times. Working on it. Fast "next track" clicks are not working very well. We're working with the product team to make the product respond faster Sometimes the TuneIn and Deezer credentials are not set when adding the product to the account. I raised a ticket for this one too: the Recommended playlists and artists section headers are showing technical fields names instead of the French value of these fields, same issue for Spotify settings - Cheers

Great work! Personally I appreciate the change in the way my albums are sorted. I know you're working on some options there, like we discussed earlier, but for the time being it is better to have recently added albums on the top, not the bottom. Nice "quick fix".
I have a few issues with the app:
1 - In the bottom bar, where my devices should be (I have only one - my Moment), it just says "BeoSound Moment is not reachable". However, with the old BeoMusic app my Moment is perfectly reachable. I just used the BeoMusic app to start playing some music, and then switched back to the X-app again. It still says that the Moment is not reachable. This has been an issue for some time, the error didn't appear with this latest release.
2 - The app is extremely sluggish. Granted, I do not have the latest hardware - my iPhone 6 is a couple of years old now - but on the same phone there is a huge difference between the X-app and the BeoMusic app, which feels much more responsive and quick. This is the case with scrolling and flicking through menus in general, but the most extreme case is when I use the left menu to switch between "Music" and "Radio". The phone/app freezes for two minutes (!) before it shows the lists of radio channels.
Some other issues as well, but those have been mentioned and discussed earlier, so I know you're aware of them.
This is going in the right direction! Can't wait 'till you get this out of beta.

Henrik, out of interest, i've found the new updated app to be very fast and responsive......and it was the first thing that i noticed when i updated it and used it yesterday.........i am using an iPhone 7+, but the fact that you are using a 6 shouldn't make much difference.........wonder what explains the difference, hmm....
Using the Android app.
- Own made Deezer playlists bigger then 200 tracks are not responding and loading: app restarts itself or you get the notification 'Bang & Olufsen stopped'.
- Playing a smaller Deezer list and trying to change: app restarts itself.
- Doing a to quick search for another favorite lists in the Deezer window: app restarts itself.
Have not tried the Radio Queue list if it still is messing up itself and again playing unknown radiostations in using Essence with IR-remote.

@mr_anders_son: No not yet sorry. Supported but disabled in the app until we get the go ahead
@mbolo01: Seems the language files i have imported were incomplete. Just updated them and we will update ASAP. This morning the team is expanding the tests in this area so it won't happen again.
@BeoHut: Sounds like a bug. Could I kindly ask you to submit it from within the app and explain a bit more? Then we also get the logs.

@elephant: Well I guess they are related :) However the playlist can come from Deezer, yourself, shared from someone. The PQ is dynamic and can be created on the fly from albums, tracks, playlists etc. Providing reorder here is for changing the order of what you are listening to now. Playlists are more currated content in my mind. We're looking at providing playlist editing in the app as well, and we might adopt the reordering here. Might even just provide the option to save it as a playlist.

Could I ask you to see if there is a difference between the performance when you are playing music and when you are not. The radio tile problem, I would love a feedback on that if possible.
@Millemissen: This is the Essence Mk1, a hide away box. We might get the NL/ML converter as well, depends on how the neext couple of weeks progresses.
@Chris: yes we didn't fix your problem with playlists yet, sorry. The api do not support paging. If we cap it to some max until we have the right solution here would that be usable for you? Regarding the crash, a feedback would be much appreciated, then I have the logs.
@Fansastic: Beolit12 will be supported, but setup only. Playmaker not sure. As for multiroom, it has to be supported in the products, and I'm afraid it is not. As for the UX on multiroom, I will forward your comment to UX.
Pheeew! That was a lot. Thanks again for the feedback. On a sidenote, the beta is open on Android and you can just sign up. We're working on making TestFlight for iOS open as well.
We will get on your bugs and get a hotfix out ASAP.

I guess it has to do with the Android phone version in use (6.0.1)
Trying the app on the big Android tablet (7.0), playlist of more the 200 tracks load fine as should. So I give a big 5 star for this new beta version and a minus 5 for my Android phone...
I provided the logs/comment this morning from my phone..

One precision: this happens when you use the Now Playing screen on a BS Moment, clear the existing playlist, press on play, it generates a new playlist (PatternPlay I guess), reorder one track and bingo: all tracks below the new position of the moved track are removed from the playing queue

Hi again. I just used a stopwatch to time the delay from I tap the icon to open the app on my iPhone until the app has loaded and is ready to go. I did this for both the BeoMusic app and the X-app, several times, alternating between the apps, and closing them completely by sliding them up from the multitask screen between each time. The Beomusic app was consistently ready to go after four seconds. The X-app took anywhere between 11 and 13 seconds.
Also, when I tap the three white dots under "favorite artists" to get to my artist list the whole app/phone freezes for 20-odd seconds before the list opens. During this time, the app is completely unresponsive. This behaviour is not consistent. It has happened a lot, both for artist and albums, and happened just now, but I'm suddenly unable to replicate it. Is it due to the app loading content from Deezer? Also, the long delay when switching between Music and Radio also seems to have passed over. My whining aside, I agree that scrolling through libraries is smoother now than in previous versions.

The app (iOs) doesn't detect my BeoSound Essence 1st generation. Did I miss a step to connect or is the first generation not yet supported?
One (possible) problem for the dev team: after few hours of uninterrupted radio playback on both A6 and A9 the music simply stops and there is no way to play any source (radio and music) before you plug out the device and let it restart. The app works and indicates music is playing on the device, but no sound.
Putting it to standby does not help, it needs to be physically plugged out. Reminds me, btw, on one bug A9 2nd gen had in its fw in early days. Maybe related to networking, not sure.

Dont think the TVs are supported yet.
A) Go to Settings in your Avant and and choose Energy savings / Stand-by. Place the Auto. Stand-by setting to off.
B) Go to timers and give your Avant a time cyclus to be ON when you needed it, and OFF at night.
The Avant will not use the energy savings anymore in the timespan you have indicated, but will be ready to play immediate and will be visible in the app.
Another follow up to some of your questions:
@AnalogPlanet: This sounds like a bug in the products. Could I kindly ask you to submit a feedback and from the product? Then we got all the logs to diagnose the problem. Much appreciated.
@Kiran: I don't know the release schedule for the BeoLink2 app. Sorry.
@Henrik and @elephant: It sounds like we have some performance issues, especially the boot time is slow. We will get on it and fine tune it for the next release. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
@Peter the Biker: Essence 1st generation is not yet supported. Working on it.
@Carolpa: I would love doing dedicated apps for more platforms, however we do not have the resources to build and maintain them. We are, however, going to open up our API's down the road to allow more integration options and thereby broader support.
@Kiran: About sharing accounts, our story there is not good. For now the advice is to share credentials since the products can only exist on one account. Work has just begun on multiuser support in the app, but it is still a couple of months out. I'm sorry for the poor experience you had. Still the app should not crash. Could I ask you to submit a feedback and I will look into this.
@MrAndersen: will do, when it happens again - I plugged out both devices as I needed to "restart" them and nothing else seemed to help.
I will also post here my confirmation I did it, sothat you know where/when to look for the log. Keep you posted, thanks a lot for your interactive approach with Beoworld Forum community - we all appreciate it very much.

I am having an issue with the camera app and the newest X app.
When the app is playing, and I start the camera app, and set it to record video, the Camera app "crashes" and goes into some kind of focus issue on the screen. I can change to picture or slow-mo fine, but each time I go to the video, it stops responding to the camera.
This ONLY happens when the X-App is playing music, and I suspect it has something to do with the new "now playing" from the lock screen.
If I pause the music in the X app or kills it, the camera works fine.
I have also submitted a ticket from the App.
I am running on an iPhone 6.
This issue is easy for me to re-create.
