Beomaster 1900
Was it put together correctly? If not, the sensorpads won't work.

Beomaster 3000
Which remote control are you using?

Beomaster 3400
Repair amplifiers. Replace idle current trimmers and readjust per the servicemanual.
Don't use it until repaired or you will risk more serious damage.

I'll double check contacts are engaging properly... but I bought this from an enthusiast and he told me it was stuck on standby. I haven't been inside yet...

Beomaster 3000

Which remote control are you using?

I have used a BEO4 to control a beomaster 3300, so deduced the same remote might control the Beomaster 3000. Maybe this is not the case and the Beomaster 3000 can only be remotely controlled by the B and O terminal 3000?...

Beomaster 3400

I'm confident I can re align the pulley system, but the intermittent heat build up is a problem. Would that be some sort of capacitor needing replaced?

Correct, the beo 4 does not work with the BM3000 and only the 3000 terminal will work.

For the 1900 you should be able to just remove the bottom plate and be able to look down between the PCB and the touch panel to see if the copper colored sensitouch contacts coming off the PCB (they are flat with a bifurcated fork end) are making contact with the silver colored pin coming down from the touch panel buttons. I thought I had a few pictures but I don't.

No.
As mentioned earlier, replace idle current trimmers and readjust per the servicemanual.

Hi Peter, I've removed the Perspex

Button plate and have made direct contact with the silver prongs on the board with a small screwdriver No change from standby mode.

Kind regards

Kieron

Check if the oscillator for the sensorpad circuits is running.
Check the amount of ripple on the 15V rail.
