Hallo Zusammen,

Also, schon mal vielen vielen Danke an alle.

Liebe Grüße

Franz

It needs a new CDM 12.4 laser, and a new belt for the tape-deck. Both easy to change if you are a bit handy :)

Thank you Jacob.

The new belt for the tape-deck is available in Ebay - but no handout for the change.

The new CDM 12.4 laser - do you have more details or part numbers. Or fit's here erverything.

P.S. sorry for my english

If your belt does not fit, then contact Dillen (Martin) on this forum, he can supply the correct belts for almost everything :)

To get to your tape in the ouverture you need to remove the front panel, the back, and the power supply, then the deck can be unscrewed from behind, and pulled backwards. You need to remove the PCB for the tape also, it is located on the back. It is not something you can do in 30 minutes, and you need to remember where everything goes :) There is a small gnd wire at the bottom right of the tape deck, be careful not to damage this when taking the tape-deck out.

You can see here how to change the belt.

Also i made a guide for a beocord 7000, this deck uses 2 smaller belts also, but the big one is identical

And here is the laser part.

Hallo Franz, hatte genau das gleiche. Wie schon geschrieben, Laser tauschen und Riemen. Geht eigentlich ganz gut zu machen. Viel Spaß.

Just take out the laser and see what number it says I'm the ribbon at the connector. If that is the same number, then the laser will work. Cdm12 IND is just the togher version of the normal cdm12.

I recall the number on the ribbon is something like FE <> 20- 3067 or something.

Can you give me the link for the laser you bought ?

The number is on the flat cable from the laser it self. Not the print or anywhere else.

As you can see at the end of the flat cable, it says FE <> 20... this is the correct laser for the cdm12 Ind....
