Just a heads up. https://support.spotify.com/us/listen_everywhere/on_speaker/why-cant-i-use-the-spotify-app-on-my-speaker/ Its a bit worrisome that devices can so easily be crippled nowadays. A vinyl player, CD-player and tape player amongst other devices can still be used, even if it means only using old kinds of media. But in this case it will be easy to add an auxiliary unit but it will take a way the entire reason for the screen - which makes up the reason to even have a BeoSound 5.

I'm guessing thats the larges problem with the new streaming systems, the vendor is dependent on a 3:rd party service provider who could remove support of their services at any time.It's a drawback for me as a BS5 owner, but what scares me more is when support for .Net Radio are going to be removed.Hopefully it will take a while since, as I know it, it's B&O who provides the list och streaming radio channels to the device.
Some people say "If you can't hold it, you don't own it" and that is also true in the music world, physical media such as Vinyl or CD is far future proof than the new streaming world.
It would be nice if B&O would consider adding support for Spotify Connect or AirPlay as an update for the BS5 users, but I will not hold my breath for that to happend.
you can have airplay on a beomaster 5 , you just have it install a little software on it.

my spotify is not working anymore.. the thing is that I bought a BS5 with this feature and now.. it is gone.. B&O should solve this problem!

They even remove Spotify in the B&O TVs which makes our customers very mad.
