Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can clarify a couple of questions for me.
In the medium to recent past, BeoVision TVs have automatically adjusted their picture settings based on ambient lighting conditions.
1. Does the BeoVision Eclipse include this capability?
I've read a couple of reviews/articles that refer to some "Expert" picture settings or profiles.
2. What is the role of these settings on obtaining accurate/lifelike/good/best picture reproduction? Do they have to be manually selected?
Thanks, everyone, for your time.

didole: svinaik: Hi Jan with the Almando Box, TV will act as the center speaker and your BL 5 will work as left and right front. Actually, I saw the process on Loewe TV where the speakers setting are made. It is easy to do so. How does this work? I thought the TV will switch off its internal speaker when directing its output to the Armando Box? What you are saying is too good to be true...

In the Loewe sound setting, we have to select the "Digital Out" as the sound option and with that, in the menu, it shows the function of Loewe TV speakers which can be selected as the 'center speaker'.
Once I get my TV delivered with Almando, I will go through the set up and post a full detailed steps to confirm. My Loewe dealer was very well informed about the B&O (his company sells the B&O also at other locations and he himnself has been a primary B&O dealer before managing the Loewe Gallry) and also use of Almando Box for past many years.

1) No, not the way it was done in earlier Beovisions.
2) That is a possibility that LG has in all their sets. Its just that you access a LOT more settings to tweak manually.

Hi.
Got my brand new Beovision Eclipse 55" yesterday and it sounds amazing. When it comes to the picture I have som questions:
1. Apple TV 4K through HDMI A doesn't work at all with 60 HZ Dolby Vision. A fix on the way?No audio delay at all.
2. Quick fix by connecting it to HDMI 1 directly in the LG screen does work but there are audio delays on 5.1 surround. This is an issue that is known to Apple and they are fixing it. Anyone else with these issues?

I would have loved to !
I was in Amsterdam on 6th/7th of October :)
Maybe we need a thread for even a whole forum devoted to travel plans so we can seize on opportunities

Sorry no answer to your questions; however CONGRATULATIONS
svinaik:On another positive note, I have taken the plunge and have confirmed order for the Loewe 7.77 with motorized stand and Almando Box. Total cost including shipping to USA is Euro 14,600.
Congratulations on good researching and I believe bargaining - that's a very good price !

I was looking at a Loewe Bild 7-65 today. I can connect it via phono to my 5s if I choose to keep them. I listened to a Blad Runner advert using these Klang 9s. Really impressed, and they can certainly hold their own with the 5s. The vocals were far clearer on the Loewe so it didn't need to be as loud.

Although I still dislike the Beovision Eclipse "Full LG" interface, I have finally found an interesting value in it for some users (which doesn't make it cheap but helps to swallow the price pill) : people who want to connect a video projector to their Beovision, let me explain :
The Videoprojector output is gone since the BV7/Beosystem 3. Since then, your only solution is to get at least a HDMi x*2 switch, or a HDMI matrix x*x. If you want full integration (control everything via Beoremote One), you have to get this switch/matrix from Atlona, which means, for a 4K HDR compatible switch, at least 800/1000€.
Side note at this step : people are complaining about the astronomical cost of the B&O "soundbar", but what about Atlona cost for simple switches : it's just "out of this world pricing"!!
So here is my idea : with the Eclipse, you get a B&O switch with an LG TV over it, linked by a single HDMI. Which means that with a HDMI mirror splitter between the Soundcentre and the LG screen, you get a HDMi output for a Beamer, without having to buy expensive PUC-compatible stuff (the mirror splitter always copies the input to 2 outputs). You'll be able to get all external sources to the beamer. And as I'm not very interested by internal sources for big screen, that's a very nice solution I think.

So the main point is to spend thousands to save hundreds......did I get this right ?
@Svinaik : that may be one way to see that, but what I’m just saying is that what I initially was a 100% bad design has one small advantage for my use... And I prefer spending thousands on a visually pure Tv instead of spending thousands on boxes to hide.
This doesn’t make the Eclipse better in any way, but it’s worth a note!
WOW:
I saw the Eclipse yesterday in the flesh.
Now I did not like this TV at all after looking at the pic online, it appeared to me as weird and awful and made me think that my Avant would be my last B&o TV
Seeing this thing in the flesh is 100% worth it, It is amazing the picture the sound the feel.
WebOS is actually nice to use, I was gutted that B&O had stopped making TV and wrapped their tech around an LG but thinking about this they have always done this in one sense or another with Phillips CD mech in a 9300 to a Samsung screen inside other TV's, now they wrap an LG and have done a very god job of it.
The sound was amazing from the speaker and considering I felt that the speaker loked weird on the screen when the screen is on you do not even notice the speaker is there, in fact Bang and Olufsen in Exeter had one with the aluminium fret and when watching the TV I did not even notice the speaker at all.
My mind has changed and this is 100% an option for the future after it becomes BLGW compatible and of course if I ever fall out of love with the Avant.
Go see it for yourself.

Hey @seanie_230 - I finally got mine on the weekend. Love it! Just posted in another thread my main issues with it so far - but it's stunning picture and the sound - WOW. I'm sure it's made my entire setup (4xBL18s and a BL19) sound better!!

I find your comment here about the sound, and similar comment you made in another Eclipse thread bery interesting. I have wondered for some time if replacing my Beovision 7-55 with a newer tv would improve the sound. I have Beolab 20s connected to the Beovision 7-55. I also have a pair of Beolab 9s connected to a Beoplay V1. I have often thought the 9s sound better now than they did when they were connected to 7-55. This has caused me to wonder if they really do sound better, or is it my imagination, and if they do sound better, is it the room, or better sound processing in the newer V1 than in the 7-55.
I am even more eager now to see the Eclipse when my dealer gets his first one in a couple of weeks. If it would improve the sound of my BL20s, that would be a big argument in support of getting an Eclipse.

Folks
Just to share that I finally ordered the Loewe 7.77 and have uploaded the picture in the Media gallery. .I have ordered Almando Box for the B&O integration
Once the TV arrives in the USA, I will post the pictures and early experiences with BL50 integration and It will be interesting to compare the notes on BL50 + Loewe versus B&O + Eclipse
My final choice between the Loewe/Almando set-up and the Beovision Eclipse ended up with the decision of buying the 65’ Beovision Eclipse.
It have now been in our Livingroom for around 14 days together with Beolab 5 and Beolab 4000 and what I can tell is that sound and picture is just amazing, actually it’s only now after more than 10 years with Beolab 5, that I finally hear how remarkable good these speakers sound.
When it comes to the picture I can just say that LG have surprised me extremely positive, the processing is much better than I expected and definitely the best picture B&O ever have had on any of their screen.
All in all, so far this has been a very positive experience and the design is just spot on for me, only a few bugs with lost remote control, were it have been necessary to switch of the power. 4K/60 HDR from bluray is running perfect.

Nice to hear feedback from actual owners of the Eclipse, very interesting to hear their opinions. All in all it is sounding very positive which is great.
There is a (real) test in french of the 65" Eclipse.
They say picture is perfect (thanks to LG) and (surprisingly) the sound less so (but still very good).
Less latency on the side HDMI's then the ones on the sound center (for gamers).
Overall five stars out of five (but of course they ad you can get better for much cheaper - if you like sound bars...).

Thats a good review. 5 stars....very nice.
After having the Eclipse for a month now here is my thoughts:Sound is great. The best TV sound on the market. Nothing negative to say here. The negative aspect comes when we go deeper into the picture and av-sync.The LG C7 has its flaws. Especially when it comes to micro-stutter and latency. LGs true motion doesn't work that very well with a OLED panel because the pixels are instant. So watching TV content or native Youtube or Netflix is not really that nice with the true motion engine. Disabling this helps but still doesn't satisfy my needs. There are still micro-stutter on 24 FPS, 30 FPS and 60 FPS content. LGs real cinema doesn't work either.
If you compare it to the Beovision 11 the judder-effect or soap opera effect was so much better in every way. Smooth as silk but on the Eclipse it gets stuttery. Very stuttery. A firmware fix for the LG was released the other week with bug fixes on this issue and also added the Technicolor mode. Cant wait to see when it arrives for Beoviosn Eclipse. Tests has been made through Testufo to determine frame drops. The other issue is lip sync. Native apps has this and so does the external CEC HMDI or the HDMI on the soundbar. LG has a workaround - to disable Dolby Atmos. But because its and Beovision Eclipse you cant do that. Lip sync can be as high as 500 ms and that is not ok for a TV in that price-range.
Conclusion: BeO and LG has a long way ahead to fix these issues.
Surprised that they claim that there are soundbars out there that sounds better than the Eclipse. Surely a matter of taste, but I wonder what bars that is.

They referred to Yamaha YSP-2700.
I was like “What..??” as a reaction to that.
Apples and oranges.

B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
It’s to difficult for me to translate (I don’t even understand the tech words in my own language !) but it’s a matter of audio/music capabilities not audio/video.
About the details, precision of the sound. They prefer that Yamaha thing (around 1.000 €).
I have too owned the Eclipse for almost a month. I had the Avant 55 first gen and bought the Eclipse due to picture quality, no Android OS and more HDMI that are 4K. But the thing that surprised me the most was the sound. The sound on the Avant was good for a flat screen but in higher volume the bass did reach its limits. But the Eclipse is much better. The sound stage is much wider. Bass and midrange warmer and more closer to the listener. I would compare it to having two BL17's as front speakers on a very flat TV. A true stand alone TV but also a very good centre speaker in the speaker setup.
The only picture trouble I have had is that I had to turn of a video setting. Can't remember what setting, but it messed up the HDMI inputs and lost connection to the tv.
Otherwise the picture quality is very good. And comparing to the Avant it is truly way better. Watching 4K videos on my Oppo UDP player sure is amazing. But that total blackness is amazing. Was looking at the Strange Things 2 on Netflix app in 4K, and wow!
The only problem that I have, that I think I'm almost alone with, is that my TV on some rare occasions starts on its own. Did freak the *** out of my girlfriend one morning. It has happen maybe two times but still weird.
To sum up, I'm glad that I went for the Eclipse. Putting picture and sound quality first should be what makes a true Beovision and it is. Better then Avant. And hope to see the OLED in some different designs soon.

tigerisak et al,
I have also had my 65 eclipse for about month now which replaced my 55 Avant and I must say I that really like the picture quality of OLED. I still need to figure out all the adjustments on the picture settings but similar to the issues mentioned by tigerisak I also feel the effect of judder and the soap opera effect which is two things I really hate from any display source (maybe I am overly sensitive to that kind display behavior). If anyone here have a preferred setting that can eliminate/minimize please feel free to share.
For 4K source material via my oppo 205 the picture quality is 2nd to none and my wife and those visitors that have seen it are genuinely impressed and comments a lot when they have watched 4K on it (my wife usually doesn't care that much about the finer art of picture quality but on this one she is often commenting on how great it looks.
Connected I have the following: apple 4k tv, oppo 205 4K blu ray US version, oppo 105d eu version, PS4, Xbox one S which soon is to be replaced by the X and of course the beloved beolab 90s. As for Hdmi cabling I have changed over to "very" expensive fiber cables which has made a huge difference in picture quality of the oppo 205 and the the 2 game consoles. For the Apple TV I have used the belkin cable recommended by apple (no issues so far).
I like the improvements of the remote control but wish it had a backlight option when the lights are switched off. Movie sound is great although I use the tv speakers as a center speakers only.
Below is a picture of the setup (sorry for the upside down picture but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn it around.
Sorry on my computer it sits straight but when I upload it to my profile it turns itself around

Hi Emil,
Thank you. I don’t know if you saw my initial description message which is just above the pictures
Looks absolutely great Hanschristian!
The Eclipse looks good next to the mighty BL90.
There we go - click it!
Nice setup ;-)
Interesting, never seen a McIntosh turntable out in the wild before, only at one dealer who didn't even have it hooked up.
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Millemissen,
Thank you for the help and quick action (I was going crazy).
Jeff,
I should have mentioned that the Macintosh turntable is connected directly via a Macintosh fully balanced preamp.
i should perhaps also have added that I do have a full blown McIntosh setup but that is not allowed in the living room :-).
Erik,
Thank you. I had the BeoLab 5 prior which I still love but my wife hated the the design. She is fully onboard with 90s.
