I turned off the the tv, now everything is working.

Have just tried Uncharted 4 in HDR for some minuts, no problems. So yea I have not played for hours yet, but your problem might be the HDMI cable?

Are going to buy a Apple TV sunday for more testing.

I don’t know, could be an update since i tried, that was about 3 weeks ago.

It can’t be the cable, it worked fine on my old LG B7, and there are also no problems when i plug it straight into the panel.

I’ll try and flip it back into the soundcenter one of the following days. I would love it to work, so that the tv changed input automatically, when i turn on my PS. Other than that, no problems.

Hi Fidse, how do you experience the drop outs on PS4Pro?

I think I also have them, the picture disappears, but the sound is there?

I tired to turn off HDR, no difference,

I then forced it to 1080P, that seems to have help.

Hmm then I rather keep my PS4 Slim...

My dropouts are exactly as you describe them, sound but no picture. If it does’nt work with HDR, I’m just gonna keep it in the tv panel. HDR was the main reason for me to buy the Pro. I actually only use my PS for playing FIFA, litteraly nothing else. So what i can, and can not do besides playing FIFA in 4k HDR, does’nt really matter to me Big Smile

What is your experience with the Viasat CA module ? Both with the LG and your previous TV.

It works fine. It’s exactly the same with my old B6 and the Eclipse.

Every now and then it switches from “Viasat mode” to “normal satellite mode” meaning that my channels switch places, so i have to manually change it back. But it only takes a few seconds to change and it does’nt happen very often, so all in all I’m very pleased with it. I’m just glad i don’t need an extra box Smile

I love the OLED picture but I also love the B&O sound, wanted an eclipse but couldn't stretch to the price, so made my own version and I think it looks better than the eclipse now :-)

I just need B&O to bring out a Beosystem 5

Thanx fu21.

That’s just not good enough! I would have connected it to the tv then, But then the cables won’t fit since i’ve already place my ps4 there as well, since that won’t work through the soundcenter either No - thumbs down

That they’ve got to get fixed. Having a fully equiped OLED screen and not being able to play Dolby Vision is just plain stupid....

I have got the Apple Tv to work now.

If you set it to SDR 4K as standard but set it to adjust to source automatic, it will work.

I have seen 6 episodes Altered Carbon in Dolby Vision 4K without problems.

Also I got the PS4 Pro to work. Though I must turn the Tv to the source before turning the PS4 on. Also the HDMI is set to output YUV420.

Do anyone know if it is possible to adjust the list in "List" so you have stand as first pick and so on?

Also if it is possible to hide a source, as Netflix, as I use the Apple Tv.

I don’t think you can hide the built-in sources. I’ve just pushed the ones i don’t use all the way to the bottom, that way i don’t notice them.

Seems strange about the Appletv, but i’ll try it out.

On the PS, that sounds like a great solution. I found a thread on flatpanels.dk describing the issue, could be the one you’ve read yourself? Smile

Where they conclude that for HDR games you should have it set to YUV420 anyways. And since i only play one game, wich is HDR, for me at least it’s a fine solution.

I don't think you can delete anything, and I haven't found a way to change the order of "list". However, you can re-order the "TV" list by going in to  "settings", then "sound & beolink" then "sources".  This gives you the list of sources and if you hit "edit" you can re-order them, and this new order is reflected in the remote.

So far it is not possible to reorder the items behind LIST I was told by my dealer. However from my opinion this is one of the top3 issues for the Eclipse to solve. Another one is to add some Eclipse functionality in the App (i.e. stand, sound, speakers).

Jeg havde samme problem med flere kanaler.

Du skal gå i

indstillinger - billede & programmer - kanaler - kanalindstillinger

og så vælge VIASAT under programtilstand.

Så burde de alle være der.

@ Fidse og andre der anvender Viasat?

Husk jeg har et helt andet chassis (7-55).. Den kender ikke viasat! Men finder 400 andre kanaler.

Just ordered an Eclipse 55" with Oak cover and wall bracket. It will replace my beloved 11-55. My BeoLab 9's have to go aswell. Boy have I enjoyed those! But times have changed and we need something lighter in our livingroom. I am very curious about the difference in sound between 5.1 from BV11+BL9+S8 and now Eclipse+S8 only. Delivery within 14 days. I have not bought brand new BeoVision since BV 8-40. I can't wait! Lets have a Party !!!

My Eclipse speaker accompanied by a BL19, replaced an LG OLED and a pair of System Audio Rangers driven by a Densen b250cast and a 240w Densen power amp.

I’m not saying the Eclipse is as good sounding, but when you include all the other things, such as user friendliness and the extra space i’ve got from getting rid of the floorstanding speakers, i don’t miss them one bit!

The Eclipse sounds fantastic! But in my case, i “needed” the subwoofer.

Great to hear you bought yourself a new Eclipse and with the new oak cover.
If you would like something "light" in regards to speakers, have you tried Beolab 3? or even wall hanging Beolab 17?
The Soundcentre has plenty of sound for the TV alone. I had the Avant before my Eclipse and it needed a subwoofer, not so sure of a subwoofer is necessary at first. I mean if you want a full experience then go for a subwoofer but if you want something light in the living room.

The 17’s are quite an overseen little gem. Absolutely fantastic sounding speakers considering price and also size. Other than that, i believe they pack much of the same speakertech as the Eclipse, so sonicaly they will be a great match. I’m getting a pair for surrounds with my Eclipse.

Hi Eric

I have had the BeoLab 3's along with a BL11 when I had the BV 8-40. Nice speakers! As I wrote earlier I have the S8 2.1 set so I will still have 5.1 as the Eclipse will serve right, left and centre and the S8 will be rears and sub.

Best regards,

Hi,

I have had my Eclipse 65 for a month now. I am very satisfied with it. I had before a Beovision 7-55 Mark II and was "afraid" that the PQ on the Eclipse not was on par with 7-55 MkII. But I was wrong. I can say that all parameters regarding PQ is at least on par with 7-55 mkII (when looking at 720 p, 1080i and 1080P) and there is of course 4K movies which is outstanding in PQ.

I have put a lot of efforts in calibrating the PQ. There is a lot of possibilities in the Eclipse. Now I am very pleased. But I recommend NOT to use the eclipse with the "ECO" mode which is standard for the Eclipse.

I was also afraid that there was some software-bugs in the Eclipse that I have read on this forum. But after a lot of SW-updates I can say that the Eclipse is free of SW-problems now and works like charm. It is as good as my old BV 7-55 Mk2 which also was free from SW-problems.

Finally: I am very pleased totally with NO complaints at all. I have also two Beoplay A6 as multiroomspeakers (in two other rooms) and the multiroom-system works perfect with the B&O-app.

So if anyone is worried about software problems as other earlier Beovisions had (BV14 and Avant NG), there is NO such things in the Eclipse and the Beoplay A6 if combined together in a multioom setup. The Beoplay A6 got a new softwareupdate a couple of days ago which makes the A6 very stable and the Cast-functions works perfect.

Have a nice weekend!

Best Regards
Martin

Hi Martin

Agree fully. But from my point of view some functionalities in the remote one like mybutton functionality and change order behind the LIST menu should be fixed and added. And in the App the option to change BV stand or speaker settings would be nice. But this will come I rely on.

Indeed – and oh lord no – not the ECO setting that LG's C7 also has as default. If the Eclipse already has the Technicolor preset available (should be via software update), set it for every source!

No not for me. I like the Eclipse fully black.

I wonder how the panel would match with the Beolab wooden panels. Looking from the picture the full wooden front is not built up with single panels like it is for the BL and the BV14 for instance.

But maybe in live it is amazing - like the Eclipse is Big Smile.
