I have a Beovison 8 with a DVB-C tv-box connected via HDMI. I cannot get the sound out of the masterlink and to my link rooms. I have set the BV8 in V.OPT 2. The Link rooms goes on when I push “TV” or “DTV” (DTV is where in tv-box is connected on HDMI) on the beo4 in the link room, but no sound.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE

Is it because I cannot take sound from the HDMI and to masterlink? So if it should work, I connect via scart?

You cannot route the sound from a HDMI-connected source to the ML.

The source must be connected analog/via scart to the tv (as well).

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Thank you. That makes sense. I must found out about my tv-box can send signal out on both HDMI and scart. Then I can choose the scart channel, when I will have sound in the link rooms.

But if it was built in - as in the Beovision 8-40 - it would be possible to distrubute the sound via masterlink?

I can propagate my BV8-40's digital sound on the master link; but I believe it related to a specific upgrade.

I don't believe my BV8-32 could do it.

Thanks. I guess that your bv8-40 has upgraded the DVB-module.

And system module.

BV8-32 also has a system module.
