Do you have your music stored in two places ( a primary drive and a back-up drive).

Is the BS5E "seeing" two network addresses ?

I have a Nas drive with two hd.. One primary and one for backup.. But i am just using primary hd for my music.. I have never experienced that this has been any problem with other products before for example Sonos..

How have you done your setup?

If your NAS allows to select which shared folder the DLNA server scans, check that the back-up folder is NOT scanned.

I would imagine that if your NAS is a one disk NAS like mine (I don't use the backup partition) that it would pick up all songs within that NAS.

I use a WD Mybooklive and I love it. When I purchased my encore it took a day for it to work looking for all the music.

Would you like me to check my encore by adding a hard drive and checking if it sees double ?

If you can do that it would by great..!

So let me get this right: If i have a Nas disk with two drives it will probably read from both of them, and if i have timemachine backup from my mac (and if it has some music stored on it) it would also read those songs? So some of my songs can be read three times ? :)

What do you guys recommend me to do?

I'm not sure it will read your time capsule. It reads your other drive because it has a music server on it. The time capsule doesn't have this.

I have a time capsule and it doesn't read mine.

I will try the hard disk thing when I get my encore back from service. I was having a slight issue where by the stand by light would not come on, then the encore would lose power all together and I had to plug out of the power to repower. The last issue was I had the standby light on but the encore doesn't respond. So off to service after a few weeks of ownership lol.

You could always rescan your hard drive which sets it all up again. Let me know if you need instructions on this.

Also is all your album art available?

This is no BS5e issue.

Your mediaserver on your NAS register the files two times.

Which mediaserver is used?

I am using an ReadyNas duo 2.. I think it's a little bit strange, because the album art is just showing one time..

A common explanation could also be that if you have a ".cue" or ".m3u" playlist file with the content of the album in each album folder, your media server could display the songs 2 times : one time for the song file itself, and one time for its playlist reference.
