If it`s an older Beo :

If it`s a newer one:

N.RADIO

Orava:

N.RADIO? No Phono in list.

If you can not find PHONO on the list when you select ADD? then you have a more modern Beo4

So select N-RADIO instead of PHONO from the ADD? list

You will find the same IR Code is used - all B&O has done is chnage the label - recognising that LPs were dying as the Internet was arriving

Beo-Ed :-)

Are you sure about this? On my older Beo 4 I can add PHONO and N.MUSIC. That could result in two different buttons generating the same code??

I am remote from my remotes :-( and so I can not check and so I am not 100% sure - I was trying to provide some illumination to Stefan's comments.

I do know that some codes got re-used since I have a couple of Beolink 1000s as well, and you use their keys (often with a simultaneous SHIFT key) to generate a N-RADIO or N_MUSIC command.

But I also don't have my Beoolink 1000 cheat sheet with me as I am traveling :-(

From Beo4 manual(hope it helps) see Beo4 manual on-line Big SmileWink

When you add a new function to the Beo4 list, you can bring up this
new ‘button’ in the Beo4 display.
> Press and hold the standby button down.
> Press LIST to get access to the Beo4 setup function.
> Let go of both buttons. ADD? appears in the display.
> Press the centre button and use to select AV?, LIGHT? or CNTROL?
> Press the centre button to bring up the list of extra ‘buttons’ to add from.
The first ‘button’ appears in the display, it flashes on and off.
> Press or to move forwards or backwards in the list of extra ‘buttons’.
> Press the centre button to add and place the ‘button’ on its preset position
in the list, or …
> … press 1 – 9 to insert the ‘button’ at a specific position in the list.
> ADDED appears, indicating that the ‘button’ has been added. Long press on
BACK will leave the setup.
>> Customise Beo4 …

Add an extra ‘button’
to Beo4, either to the
preset position or to a
specific position

Just for info:

On one of my Beo4s (SAT, DVD, with SW version 4.4), you can chose N.RADIO, PHONO, N.MUSIC and A.TAPE2.

On a newer Beo4 (DTV, with SW version 5.0), only N.RADIO and N.MUSIC are listed.

So clearly when the Beo4 first came out B&O appreciated that some people still used the A.TAPE2 and PHONO functions and wanted the correct selection to show on the display when in use.

A.TAPE2 and PHONO are my two most-used audio sources!  (A.TAPE2 is my Airport Express running through an external DAC).
