Good evening, I updated my iDevices yesterday with iOS6: since this morning, Beoplayer fails both on iPhone & iPad. Is it just me or is there indeed an update to come for the App?
Thanks in advance.
Beocom 6000 - Playmaker Mk2 - Beolab 17 - Beoremote Essence - H8 - H5 - Beoplay A1 - Beoplay M5

It's NOT only yours, mine also crashed.
The Fruitcompany is no exeption - new software needs bugfixes and hence differences between pre-releases for the developers like B&O and the final versions are normal...
Unfortunately the final release of OS6 contains bugfixes for their IOS that crash the B&O app. BnO customer service told me, they are aware of the problem since yesterdays and are working on an update.

I think you are correct. There appears to be a bug. I have a Beolit 12 and an iPhone 4s with IOS6. When I start the Beoplayer app, it will play the last internet station selected. When I try to select another station, the app disappears. I hope there is an update soon. Thanks.
When I start the App it is in the "clock" view. When I try to change to any other view it crashes.
i have the same problem - on both iPad and iPhone - it's stuck on the last radio station and I can't select another one - glad it's not just me.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
200+ Apps on my iPhone AND the B&O one is the only one that doesn't work!
I use this app for its great variety of radio stations.
Seven days on and it still hasn't been fixed. VERY VERY SHODDY SERVICE FROM B&O.
A company that prides itself on quality & premium products should have sorted this out within one or two days maximum!
No apology from B&O. What company is this??? Highly unimpressed!!!
I am beginning to think that B&O has outsourced probably all of their software development and just don't have a competent group that coordinates updates for their products. Apple did not make the launch of IOS6 a secret. The updated Beoplayer should have been ready the next day after the release of IOS6. I don't think they understand how pervasive this is because IOS6 is supported on iPhone 3Gs, 4G, 4Gs and now iPhone 5. This also include 2 versions of the iPad.
Except for playing music from iTunes, I mostly used Beoplayer for internet radio.
This global launch of new and wonderful products on Oct 11th is rumored to be about products dependent on software. How can they be trusted?
crashes on my 3GS too ... the crash is "just" the GUI so the App keeps running and in one case kept playing the station
but TuneIn Radio works ... so if you need a substitute try that
linder:Apple did not make the launch of IOS6 a secret.
true ... but my sons tell me that iOS6 has changed behaviours and it is a problem with the new game they are perfecting ... and that others had reported the problem to Apple during the beta program and it is still not fixed !
so maybe it is not all B&O's "fault" (but most likely it is ...)
BeoNut since '75
Thanks Elephant. I do have other apps for internet radio. I am being unusually harsh on Bang & Olufsen because they have to understand they are playing in the big leagues with Apple. What if someone asks for a demo of a Beolit 12 or a Beosound 8 using airplay at an Apple store and the app crashes while the Apple salesperson is saying how great this Beo stuff is?
Look in the app store in iTunes for Beoplayer and look at the recent comments. Sorry I don't know how to do a link into the iTunes store. You sons are correct with the observation that much change in IOS6 but not so much visually.
Beoplayer should have been on their quality control check list. They have to get this right even though it seems like a minor thing. Regards,

YES - in this rare case - (NO...) !
To my knowledge a prelelease of iOS6 was supplied to other manufaturers like B&O.Unfortunately the OS needed some bugfixes (no software, not even from APPLE is perfect when newly released).
BeoPlayer worked with the pre-release of iOS6 - but the bugfixes needed by APPLEfor their own OS cause the recent problems ...
Developers of affected apps now have 7x24 jobs ...
Relax guys.. There is a new release with support for iOS6.
Hi DoubleU
Any idea when the update will be?
I actually really like this app for all of its radio stations and being honest, I use it everyday so this is double annoying! :)

what problem are you seeing - same one ? or a different one ?
Schlaumeier:... i cant't delete.
Partially I can confirm your findings.
I could delete "working" stations - but it seems you can't delete an empty entry in your fav-list (eg a station that has ended service / a station beeing not any longer part of the B&O bouquet)

which is probably the very thing that everyone would want to delete !
( but a difficult software test case to construct ? )
