I am 99.9% convinced that this is a B&O fake make and china.
I recently detected the flood of these units at Ebay.uk.

Those "fakes" are the easiest to spot, as there is no official B&O/Beoplay product corresponding to that!!

Ebay sellers are confident that this is the original product and claim that it was purchased legally in the store.
Funny but every week I see at least 20 such ads.

The seller is called "highcourt12" EBay says This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

with a name like that you'd think he's familiar with legal discussions.

The spec for each speaker says that they are for  "outerdoor"..... a bit of a giveaway apart from anything else.

I just came across this on Facebook's local buying/selling thing! Was just about to make a new forum post until I saw this one. Tempted to message the seller.

I would never spend more than 50 on eBay unless it was a) obscure b) a crazy good seller feedback or c) collecting in person. If it's B&O your first filter should be "within 50 miles" so you can pick it up and check it's legit.

Can't quite remember,.... but does "Bang & Olufesn" branding blatantly ever appear on BeoPlay products as such?

The stylised "BANG & OLUFSEN" logo never appears on Play products – only the classic "B&O" symbol is used on them, and only them. On packaging "B&O PLAY by BANG & OLUFSEN" (set in Gotham) has been used, although I'm not sure if that's still the case with the new style packaging.

Yeah exactly - I just checked my E8 packaging and the only mention of "Bang & Olufsen" is in tiny writing on the bottom - just has the B&O Play logo everywhere else.
