Hello all, I am new to this forum so please treat me gently<grin>

As the subject line shows I own a BeoVison 10-46, for family reasons I am simplifying the control systems. Older members of my family cannot get on with the Beo 5 remote so am moving to a Beo 4 remote plus making further changes.

The problem, have got rid of Sky box and moved to a Humax free sat HDR box, very happy with this, but I need to add the code to the TV so that the Beo 4 remote will control the box.  The dealer wants to charge £150 for this.

Being a retired I am sure that it can not be so difficult to do this yourself, given the correct software and codes.

I do not know if this is clear enough, if so I would be pleased to hear from anyone who could help.

Thanks.  Peter.

If you go to to settings and then connections and then stb it will bring up a list of 3rd party products already loaded onto the puc list. If your humax box is not there then you will need to get it added. I got told it was £40 for the chip and that was doing it myself. If you want them to do it i am not sure how much it will be. Where abouts are you located? Did you purchase the set brand new? I would of thought your dealer would do this free of charge as a good will gesture

Zylog - I have this PUC code emailed to me from B&O as this is the STB I use. PM me your email address and I'll send it over. I installed it very easily on my V1 using a USB stick.

Regards,

Jon

I don't think you will be able to do this without dealer support as, unlike the V1 where you can use USB, the puc codes for BV10 are input via Bang & Olufsen's service tool (laptop, software and some very specific cables, plus a dealer account to access the downloads). £150 sounds like a lot, but i guess that depends how far away from a dealer you are?
