With two BL5 connected to BV11, does it really matter in which position the left/right switch at the speakers are set?? The manual states so "remember to etc". But isn't it sufficient to adapt it on the sound menu of the BV11, ie there one can choose whether its left or right? Or am I missing something ?

thanks, Rene

Each Powerline carries both L and R signals. These are controlled from the BV11 Sound settings.

Thus as you flick the L/R/(line) switch, the white noise remains the same

hence they just need to be in different positions - but no harm if the physically positioned to the left speaker is switched on the BL5 itself in the "right" position but in the BV11 menu being defined as "left" ????

All B&O active speakers (except subwoofers I believe) have the L/R switch to select which portion of the PowerLink cable the listen to.

Note that many of them have PL out so that speakers can be daisy chained to give you wiring flexibility.

That means that they receive the stereo signal in full and broadcast it in full.

I even TOS/link daisy chained optical cables and use the L/r and l/R switch settings.

I don’t know the BV11 settings but I know my BV likes/needs to know which speakers it has on which ports and at what distances they are from the main viewing position(s). This allows to BV to properly shape and time the signals to each of the six surround sound speakers.
