Hi,

I have the following setup on ML:

A BV8-40 as Video Master (option 2)
A Besound as Audio Master (option 0)

And some link room setup.

I have attached a BLC NL/ML converter to the ML network to be able to use ML sources on a Beoplay M3 Speaker in another room. That works fine. And also to use TuneIn from M3 on the ML setup. That works also fine as N.Radio.

A bonus with the BLC is that I know also can control my main BV8-40 with the B&O app (at least some of the functionality).

What is weird is that the list of BV8-40 sources is not correct in the B&O. I see TV, Radio, CD, DTV, DVD etc and the NL sources N.Radio and N.Music, but V.MEM is missing from the list to control sources on the BV8 in the App.

I have a Apple TV connected and mapped to V.MEM, but can turn it on from the app.

I saw then that DVD2 also was found a source even noting i connected and mapped to DVD2. I tried to change the mapping of the AppleTV in the BV8 menu to use DVD2 instead of V.MEN that works fine. I can then turn AppleTV on with the DVD2 in the source list in the app, but I do not want that since it is then more difficult on the remote control BL4. I changed the mapping on BV8 back to V.MEM, but V.MEM does still not show up in the source list in the app.

Yes V.MEM is enabled in the configuration for the BLC converter. I have even named it AppleTV in BLC.

Then I also tried to rename DVD to Bluray in BLC just to see if I can see this in the B&O app in the source list. Yes this worked fine immediately.

So why will V.MEM not show up?

When I look on the configuration of BLC in "Sources visible on ML". I seems like something is using DVD and DVD2, but V.MEM says empty.

Connected to DVD I have a Bluray player, but nothing on DVD2.

Under both ML source DVD and DVD2 it says 9517.1856610.23683401@product... I cannot see more. This is in NL product name.

Under DVD it says empty in the same field. But Empty should not be a problem since it says tha same for bout TV and DTV and these works in the B&O app.

On the NL network I have only a Beoplay M3 and the converter.

So how can I get V.MEM on the list of sources in the B&O app?

I have looked at my BLC configuration and I agree V.MEM is there and although I don’t use it logic says you should be able to.

Did you do a power off/reset cycle after you changed and saved your settings ?

The BLC only “reads” the new saved settings during its boot up process ...

... I also know that there is something different about V.MEM on the BV8-40 from when the B&O technicians upgrade us from an 8-32 ... they could not work out V.MEM on the 8-32 worked for the FOXTEL cable but on the 8-40 it did not.

I would prefer not to experiment with my setup ... but if you are really stuck I could try [:\'(]

PS ... are you aware that if your country has stopped broadcasting analogue television you can disable TV which reassigns the digital broadcast to the Beo4 key and frees up the DTV key for other purposes ?

Yes. My tv is already setup this way. The DTV button is used for something else.

It is still a mystery why V.MEM do not show up.

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but now I just added an M3 to my home and love it. I did not realize I may also be able connect this to play sources from my ML system using the BLC. Does that mean all of the sources connected to the BS3/BS6500 integrated system can be routed to my M3? From this thread and the Beolink Handbook it looks like I need the Beolink Converter NL/ML to do this correct? Anything else needed?

No, nothing else needed -  you just need that converter.....and the right settings.

That said - there might be some cases where you’ll need a delay box - informations of which you can find in the BeoLink Handbook.

I can free up the TV key, but how do you free up the DTV key? I am assuming you reassigned DVB to the TV key or ?
