My 3500's dust cover won't stay up. It's because one of the plastic "tabs" in the back corner is broken off.

I have the broken off piece, and have tried epoxy, but it's too weak for the type of stress place on the broken area.

Are there viable repairs short of getting a different dust cover?

thanks,

Dan

Beogram 3500?
Sure it's not a Beocenter 3500?

Oh, completely different then.
Glue together the broken pieces - just to hold them together.
Drill a 2,3 mm hole through the broken pieces.
Insert a 2mm steel pin (steel nail), dipped in strong Epoxy (slow setting type for strength).
Let it set.
Dremel  away any excess metal and glue.
