just my 5o cents: i was annoyed by the vibrations the AppleTV and the harddisk produced sometimes when they were mounted to the Avant. even when the Avant was off the harddisk caused noises and vibration.

Seanie_230:Hello You are right it would be Cleaner mounted on the TV and I looked at the bracket on STB backets website but they are very expensive. It would have less chance of seeing the STB if I used the proper ones from them. Maybe the socket could stay where it is if I bolt a extension lead to the back of the TB bracket Perhaps I will keep a close eye on eBay BLGW - Rekindling the love of ML
Hi Seanie,
Your post has prompted me to post some pictures of my Avant setup (i've been meaning to do this for a while).
I'm not sure how applicable it is to your question, but I have developed a way to better integrate the cables of Avant. I didn't want to hijack your thread so I have started a new one here -

It may provide some ideas...

Dion.

A wallmounted tv gives you no option to ‘hide’ the gear behind the tv!
When it is not possible or wanted to use the space behind the wall, you will need some kind of furniture.
At least when you have a lot of gear and - like me - prefer cabled solutions.
Also, I wanted to have easy access to my bluray player.
So I kept the bench, that I had used for my previous BV8-40.
In my case I also had no option for drilling holes, hiding cables for the speakers etc.
So - I had to do my best....
....which is a hard job, when it starts like this:
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Fidse:I have my ps4 mounted i a “bracket” like this : It’s more or less just two strings and one screw, meaning that it takes up the space of the ps4 and nothing more. It fits just nicely in the space behind my wallmounted Eclipse, leaving my setup completely cablefree

OK, I’ll have to correct myself.
Hiding something behind a wallmounted tv is possible........when you have a paperthin OLED tv ;-))

Seanie_230:Or I could buy a cable that I can take the end off one end RJ45 and other Powerlink, remove one end to get the cable round and then solder or crimp the end back on. How difficult will this be? I have a Rj45 crimp for cat5e but have never crimped cat6/7 BLGW - Rekindling the love of ML
