Hello everybody,

I am the proud owner of 2 MX7000 tv's and 2 DVD-1 players (4620 & 4621) which are in daily use.

Can anyone tell me what the different codes: 4620, 4621, 4622, 4623, 4624, 4625 and 4627 stand for?

I am looking forward to your reaction.

DVD1 Type # 4620 is a Mark 1 version

Type # 4621 through 4627 are Mark 2 with each of the different type numbers are for different regions and power as below

The Mark 1 was based on the ASD1 unit from Philips. The same unit was in BeoCentre 1.

In the latter part of 2002 the DVD unit ASD1 and power supply with software 1.6 were replaced, yet it was still a Mark 1. The DVD unit was model SD3.3 and the power supply was replaced and new software 3.1 implemented.

Whilst from a technical point of view it was defined by B&O as a minor update it provided considerable improvement in operation.

The first DVD1 with the new DVD unit, power supply and software was from serial number 16255681. Everything else was the same.

The Mark 2 DVD were much improved and based on the U7 DVD unit from Pioneer.

Dear Keith,

Thank you very much for this information.

Is there anything about B&O you don't know?

Anyway, I am glad that I joined the Beoworld Forum.

Best regards,

Philip
