Dennis:
The BeoMaster 4401 looks to be in pretty good condition under all of the dirt.

A nice find indeed. You can now apply for the elite 4401 club !

Me too, (both in jealous and colour) but I am sure a 4401 owner will be onto this post haste.

@Leslie

I will see if I can take some pictures of the equipment I have on display at some point. Because of the size of my collection and my room only being 12,5 square meters, most of it is packed away.

@Everyone

There was a thread about another silver BeoMaster 4401 about 1,5 year ago, which I think is the only other one we know of. I believe that it is in Martins (Dillen) possession now. The thread about it can be found here

I doubt that anyone made a trip to the UK to buy a pair of BV3800s, but I could be wrong of course! Big Smile

One didn't have to.
Thanks to Peter (and Frede), I am now the proud owner of a very nice pair of Beovox 3800 on trumpet stands. Smile so
that makes at least two pairs in Denmark. I can probably find a spare midrange driver if you need.
I also have the Beomaster 2300 and a nice pair of Beovox C2300, neither not exactly common in Denmark.

They look like black Beovox C40 but were rebadged for selling with the Beomaster 2300, mainly exported to the Netherlands.
I also have the Beocenter 3600 and a Beomaster 3000 with inclusion of AM, a Type LV speaker (three-way version of Type L) and
many other uncommon pieces.
Some day, I will get around to doing some photos.

Oh I see. In the meantime Dr. Google found few pictures for me, optically really same as CX-40. Actually there is a pair of them in Netherlands for sale. Maybe they are interesting for our NL-members:

P.S But the pictures of Type LV speaker would be of course very interesting to see some day ...

I found a pair of the beautiful Beovox 3000 mk II at the local flea market (“Myrorna”, “the Ants”, an activity at the Salvation Army). The cabinets are made of beautiful jacaranda/rosewood/palisander and in very good shape, like the fronts. When I engaged them to Beocenter 7700. (the equipment I use most for the moment) there were sound from only one of them. Error diagnosis leaded me to open the DIN-connector were I had to solder a loose cable.

I devoted the evening to comparing the recent acquisition with Beovox S4500 and S80.2.  BV3000 mk II won…

Does anyone have a badge for this speaker? One is missing.

And as I came to home, very tired but happy, I let the amp play the one nice song from L. Cohen ("Dance me to the end of world") to me... I was ready for the bed...

I´ve got it from a dying old man in Uppsala, Sweden.

He bought an equipment comprising Beolab 5000, Beomaster 5000, 2 x Beovox 5000 and 2500 Cube (but not Beogram 3000) 1968 and used the things right to until for two years ago. When he recently got his death sentence (lung cancer, COPD. Do not smoke, kids!) he advertised the remaining parts (his daughter ”burnt up” the Beolab many years ago) on that national ad site “Blocket”. He wanted an offer, so I gave a bid that he accepted. This Saturday I drove my SAAB from Örebro to Uppsala (175 km single way) in order to retrieve the things. The man served coffee and told some stories about the B&O-, played his music for me and shed a tear when I wore away the things.

Thank you Leif, for the confidence. I will take care of your stuff as good as you have done.

What a nice but also sad story. Good for the Beosystem to get in the good hands but sad to hear one old school B&O-person will left us...

Anyhow congratulation for the beautiful set!

If I am not wrong you already own a Beosystem 5000 now you have  the cubes too. Please let us know your impressions about sound with and without cubes.

It is a sad story but I promised Leif to take good care of the stuff and I will. Right now I´m listening to Ry Cooder "Jazz" from CD. I have connected the two BV 5000 to my "old" (is there any new ones?) Beolab 5000 and the BV 2500 cube to the BV 5000 and I have to say that it sounds fantastic.  The cubes makes the stereo "picture" distinct an crisp but I dont think that the tweeters in the BV 5000 are disabled when cubes are connected. Have I dreamed or have I read that somewere?

In an other place in this site I have put an ad for some stuff I not longer need, It is two other BV 2500 cube, my beloved pair of BV 4000 and two (!) Beomaster 5000, in two differnet veneers. The two BV 2500 must go fast or not at all: I´ve read on Fredes site about how to set up a system with 4 BV 2500...

Suddenly I feel that theres very feew more B&O-items that I need. Maybe a Beogram 3000 from the sixties..... and.... and....

Nice story D""ck, and a we know you will take good care of the unfortunate guys items.

you dont need anything more to your collection, but there are always something that it would be nice to have, as you are under heavy influence of the BeoVirus, it will never stop, You may sell off, lend away, gift away, or scrap some items, but there will always be these nice to have, but dont need items.

BTW, give the seller our greetings, from all of us on the vintage forum, he found the right buyer. Maybe he will be a member of Beoworld for his time left in this wonderful world.
