jowus:Michael, which Speakers do like better than Pentas? beoLab 4000? Mm! Anyway, Pentas are really good for home theater though. You get the best for Movies with that.
I think we have found our difference when it comes to taste, Michael ;)
I have decided to stay with the Pentas. I may be slightly affected since my grandfather used to have a pair :P
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

elephant:In my home office and as pride of place with the BeoVision 8-32 which is mainly for Mac slave monitor and Apple TV (2nd gen SD only), no free to air nor Foxtel access here !
I love that you still haven't removed the protective plastic cover for the display. My wife gets annoyed with me when I don't remove things like that. (I'm a bit OCD).

You've gone wild, a good guy gone wild! Looks really good.
Wheres your playstation?

Maybe, but i was going on speaker design solely. I must say i have never seen Pentas in the flesh ever.
I really like how it all came together. Looks great. :-)

I can't see in the picture, but do the displays (Amber display, right?) show the source and volume information with the Beovision 7? (Or are they the ones without the display?) In either case, Great speakers, great setup!

I have never seen such a version of the BV8-32 before

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Dennis - very interesting about the DVD recorded - are they available anywhere or where they available only for this lecture? Thanks David

Hi David,
I take it you are referring to the DVD I was telling about in the first post of this thread?
Part 1
Part 2
Sadly there are no subtitles, but maybe you could request the guy who uploaded it to add them?
/Dennis

elephant:@MM yes they did come in white - and this one's original Beo4 was the "hotel" version (pictures in the 2009 archive)
Now that I have had a closer look at it, I see that the picture definitely shows a 'white BV8-32'.
If you just have a look and did not think, that it is the white version, it looks as if it is a screen with a very thin frame around it.
Probably because the background (and the table) is white too!
You probably can't see it so, because you know that it is a BV8.

elephant: Now that vision of your's would be a great B&O design !

I am afraid not - every picture deserves a frame of some kind!

Christmas in MayToday is one of those rare days where a bunch of nice B&O related stuff all arrive at the same time. The result is a flurry of package opening activity that is like Christmas time for a little kid.I had expected to get my tonearm wires for my Beogram 4000 project last Friday but they were delayed until today. That just gave me one more item to open up today...Add to that a package from Steffen (on this Beoworld forum), who was generous to send me a set of Beovox MS-150 grill covers/frets. He had an extra set and I had a pair of MS-150's that were missing them. Thank you very much Steffen! The support and generosity of Beoworld members never ceases to amaze me.I also received another shipment of Beogram 4002, metal replacement pulleys from Nick (in the UK). Beautifully reproduced tonearm motor pulleys to replace the original, plastic pulleys on Beogram 4002 (and 4000) turntables. I highly recommend them.To top off the day, I recently purchased a vintage B&O 4500 system which arrived today. It included a Beomaster 4500, Beogram CD 4500, Beocord 4500, a pair of RL 60.2 speakers (with stands) and a Beolink 1000 remote control. They all look like they are in great condition but will need little bit of going over. The real surprise was that the RL 60.2 speakers came with the red and black curled speaker cables. I had no idea the seller had those and I have been looking for those speaker cables for over two years.
Those RLs look about as NM as you can get! Congrats!
With as much experience as you now have with the 800x and 9000 Beocords, I'm interested in hearing your opinion of the BC4500. I love mine.

I certainly will and I'm anxious to see what the BC4500 is like too. The cassette deck looks really good but I checked it this evening and it doesn't function right now. However, I recently picked up service manuals for all the pieces so I will be ready to dive in after my current turntable projects.
I`ve thought a long time about buying a pair and after various listening sessions at the local dealer I decided to buy a pair. The limited edition hazel grey would be the colour of choice. Unfortunately my dealer told me it would take until the 7th of july before he could get me a pair, so he advised me to buy a pair online. Two days later it arrived as promised.I really like the hazel grey colour. The natural leather version looked great too, but a darker colour maintains its colour better I think. Since there are not much pictures of this colour online, here are a few pictures:
The fit is great, even after wearing them for several hours with glasses my ears do not hurt.
The cable seems fine to me, but pulling the cable out of the headphones is quite tough. The leather finish is absolutely beautiful. Really soft on your head, it doesn`t get sweaty, just great.
I`ve been using the H6 for two full days now and have not experienced any dropouts
I tried it with the thunderspace app on my iphone last night and the result was quite realistic!

H6, the 'drop-out free' B&O headphone
I did it again, bid and didnt want to, got it, and here goes, sure this will be a give away
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
I know it does not belong here, but one of my many aunts posted a very old pic of my grandfather where a radio appears
I enjoyed to see the old man again, just as I remember him, and then focused on the old radio, it was always tuned to same radio station and only turned on for "Radioavisen" (radio news)
I asked my aunts where it may have gone after my grandfathers dead, it turned out that it is by my youngest aunt and it is a Linnet and Laursen Piccolo mobile transistor radio from 1962, Linnet and Laursen broke away from B&O 1946 and started their own.
Of course I asked my aunt if the radio is still working and if not offered to get it restored by a good friend of mine in Copenhagen (Martin stay tuned ) on my account. I now hope that this nice little vintage will stay well guarded in the family for generations to come.

In the end you will have to be lucky, if you want to borrow it now and then.
Sure she won't give it away.
Maybe you will have to join her in the sewing room more often.
