Over the last weeks I acquired a beocenter 9500 in very good condition, a pair of RL 140's and 60.2's. I also found this one! I have seen them before, but no product page whatsoever, they seem rare... Really like it!!

The other side:

If wanted I can take some better pictures for a product page.

a pair of RL 140's

So what do you gonna do with the RL140's, they definitely need a refoam job and cap replacement. Maybe renew the cloths as well?

I do not think that the fact that you own one or more is a good measure of the rarity! :-) Rare or not, it does the job although I think it is one of the b&o pieces with the cheapest feel and look... (Ondanks dat de kaats dichtbij is, bij gebrek aan tijd maar laten verzenden)

I do have some plans for that but unfortunately too little time. I was thinking about using them with my beomaster 8000  but that one needs to be serviced first... The other option is use them as a replacement for my rl6000's in combination with the bc 9500. Not sure though this would be an improvement sound wise....
btw, Love the mic, it's beautiful!

Well, I saw a few on Ebay and the fact I sold one to a member and have 2 more left I don't think this is a rare item, at least not in Holland. Smile

Maybe in other countries, I don't know.

There is really not too much to tell, it comprises all stock parts.

There is two 3x4 Elna rotary switches, on backside there is 4 inputs (DIN7 and RCA) + 4 outputs (Din7 and RCA) connecting left, right and datalink on DIN. Knobs are solid aluminium and all packet in casted aluminiumbox.

I do use it to connect a CD of my choice to amp of my choice, witch ever it will be at tihe time, so it can be called X-switch.

Hi Leslie,

no thanks, one more Beolit 800 would be nice but as always, the place is the prblem ;-)

But if you can offer me the Beolit 500, I am interesteed in!

And what happened with all those BEO610's? I am still looking for one power main unit and in a meantime also for one button (the ON/OFF one) and the lower part of the battery tray. Any chance that you can provide me with this parts?

Best regards,

T

On hold now but still in my closet. Get lots of requests from members but sometimes (to be honest) I'm a bit lazy, sorry for that. Waiting for spring to do my restorations outside in the garden. Can't wait....

So, today I went on a little trip to buy a few things...

Hmmm... Hmm

Huh?

Some of the functions are named different.

Rosewood and teak? on the sides...

Sadly they do have some heavy marks and scratches.

Oh, and in case you shouldn't have guessed it yet - yes, it has a red label on the back side (BM doesn't have one though)!

More to come in a moment! Wink

Thanks Henrik!

That's not the only items I bought though!

As you probably know, this wasn't called BeoCord 6000 but BeoCord 5000 when it went into production. A red label is also to be found on the backside of this one.

I also bought this nice BeoMaster 5000. It should work perfectly, but it could use a bit of TLC on the outside - the printing on the front is intact and hasn't faded though!

A bit OT, but a while ago I found out, that I have a pair of B&O speakers, that aren't mentioned on the product specification pages (At least I can't find them). BeoVox S2400 they are called. They were probably made to be sold with the BeoMaster 2400 back in the days. On the left side of them you can see my newly refurbished BeoMaster 8000 - I will tell more about that one in another thread any time soon.

Does anybody else have a pair of these speakers or know something more about them?

Take a look at the previous post! Wink

Regarding your last question: Do you know how many times I've been wondering the same, when I've seen the pictures you've posted? Big Smile

I guess I have a very tolerant family and a fantastic ability to spot any unused space, where another piece of B&O could be placed. My room is only 12,5 square meters!

Oooh, the Beocord 6000!! Ok, small difference to the released product, but still a really nice artifact to own! Congratulationa!

Regarding the speakers: I've have never seen those, but I've seen some s45-2s with "S4500" badges.

I just brought this set home from an auction. (25€). BM1000 & a pair of Beovox 1500 type 6209.
I'm quite surprised how good those speakers are. Excellent sound and quite large for there modest power rating.

I'm generally quite amazed how good the speakers from the late 60's are. I have in my collection BV3000 type 6220, BV 2600 type 6224 and now BV 1500 type 6209, and they all surprise me positively when I listen to them.

Beovox 1500 also always impressed me.
Quite a rare speaker nowadays but what a wonderful sound and the Beomaster 1000 is an excellent match.

These are things are from a time where pleasant sound mattered more than small file sizes.

Hi Orava, that switch set up is quite ingenious,i have a need for something similar

my problem is i have a beomaster 1200 and a beomaster 1500 but only one pair of beovox CX50 speakers, i have to keep unplugging the 2 pin din from the speakers to change to the other amp

how could i make a simple switching unit to keep it all set up easily

i would love some big speakers but can't get them to Thailand

I use this one, thinking about one more, then its possible to combine as you wish. it works splendid, without any distortion that I can hear.

Wow, that looks pretty neat, do you change the plugs or use adapters, what about the 5 pin connectors from the amps

wait a minute, i am thinking about this all wrong, i am just connecting speaker cables, yes,so i only need 2 pin din at the amp end and open wires at the other end, same with the speakers, 2 pin din at the speaker end and bare wire again at the other end, that's right isn't it?
