I just acquired playmaker and successfully connected to the network.Just to test Playmaker, connected it to BL6000 using RJ45-Powerlink cable and I get sound. However when connecting to BL3500 I have no sound.1. Does BL3500 needs to be setup as OPTION 0 ? (no other B&O is in the room or connected to BL3500)2. BL does not react to Playmaker's start. when I press MUTE button on BL3500 display show "LOAD TAPE" and still no sound. Please help!.

If you want to use the Powerlink connection I think you will need to make sure you have Mk2 BL3500. The socket on Mk1 is a Master Control Link connection but looks like Powerlink.

The BL3500 is not a regular speaker - it is a link-speaker, intended to be connected to a B&O linksystem.
You will need either a ML-driver like the ML/MCL Converter (you can connect the Playmaker to this (please ask for more information if needed)
or you could use a cable like this:

Please read the describtion for how to use it.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thank you for your responses!BeoLab 3500 is MK1 so I will indeed need to work on a cable Millemissen is referring to.
I also own a BeoCenter 9300, as I understand I can't use BeoLab 3500 with BC9300 since it has no ML/MCL.
It's a shame but looks like I will be parting with BL3500 :)
From the spec of the BC9300 on this site it has MCL as does the Mk1 BL3500 so it should work together.
Hi David,
MM and Stoobietoo are correct, Beolab 3500 operates differently to other Beolab speakers, as it was designed for use in a link system. I can build the specially wired cable required to make use of use the MCL input on Beolab 3500 mk.1 speakers, or the Powerlink input on mk.2 speakers. Please drop me a line via my sponsor link below if you would like any assistance.
Kind regards, Steve.

This site Indeed lists MCL but I don't see it on the unit...
To make an MCL connection from the Beocenter 9300 to a Beolab 3500 mk.1 speaker, please use the "Speakers 2" sockets at the top left of your picture. A specially wired cable is then needed to connect to the 8 pin MCL socket on the speaker.
If you would like details and a quote for this cable, please feel free to contact me via my sponsor link below - please let me know the cable length you need and I will be pleased to advise further.
Here's what the cable will look like, but in what ever colour cable Steve provides. (taken from the MCL Handbook)
Hi Stoobie,
Yes, that's the one! I can build these in any length required, so you aren't limited to the 1m or 3m lengths that B&O used to offer.

That's what is so good with the cables you make. You did me a 20cm Masterlink cable. Just perfect for what I needed.
