There is a tv - and there is a BV
Agreed about the banter, e.g. the butterfly-hands, and "what I just watched [again]". But not 3 hours. BBC Midlands used to run "Top Gear" in just 30 minutes! Admittedly, if @Miki had to do a video editor's job as well, that would take hours&hours, and put the kibosh on the whole thing...
Next edition (notice I didn't say "next week"), I'd like to hear Willie "translate" from that annual report above: "Drive brand awareness across all touchpoints through improved content creation, localised go-to- market approach and insights-driven activities." WTF... Certain to be hilarious. Might even make as much sense if turned literally word-for-word into Slovenian.
B&O on Group revenue: "The Q4 revenue was negatively impacted by a one-off effect of the Beoplay Earsets. In addition, unhealthy retail inventory levels impacted demand from monobrand stores, and thereby demand for Staged products, including TVs. Also, demand from the multibrand network was adversely impacted by large inventories at retail level. Furthermore, the slower-than-planned transformation of the monobrand and multibrand distribution channel setup had a negative impact on revenue."
B&O on gross margine: "The gross margin was negatively impacted by the one-off effect of the Beoplay Earsets. Excluding the effects of Beoplay Earsets, all product categories delivered a higher gross margin. The gross margin from Brand Partnering & Other Activities improved, predominantly because Brand Partnering represented a larger share of the segment following the decline in revenue from the lower-margin aluminium production for third parties.
Also B&O "The all-new Earset E8 2.0. A perfect accomplishment for all your travel adventures #upgradeyourjourney"
#facepalm

At least they are being brutally honest about what took place in the TV division... a complete Sell-out.
Sandyb: More or less agreed, though a bit of structure, focus would elevate it. Mike does a great job, and always asks for questions / topics to discuss, thou doesn't always get any responses. Having Henryk, John and occasionally Steve on has already helped moved things forward (no disrespect meant to the original gang of three!). I'm sure there are loads of questions, issues people have in mind they could forward in advance. Also, and I appreciate not everyone wants to do this, but sending in pictures of your setup would be great. I think many would love to see how people have set up, placed, configured and use their B&O infrastructure.I It was a really good segment when they guys have shown set=ups that have been sent in. I'd encourage others to do so, with the aforementioned caveat in mind.

I would both love more questions and or topic suggestions and we also loved showing off the stuff you guys rock at home and see how everybody does their own thing with B&O. I thought it was a great topic, but I can't pull it out of thin air

I loved doing this as a segment, I thought it really worked well and would love to do more of it. But once again I am dependant on you guys sending me some pictures and such to: mikipedi4@gmail.com I know we haven't gotten all of you yet and we really don't mind if it's just an A1, everything B&O counts!
Hi everyone,
Today/tonight we’ll be live again! The link: https://youtu.be/nfeH4gnYWis

We’ll go live (Sunday) at 8pm/7pm/1pm CST - Amsterdam/UK time/USA time.
We hope you can come join us live again on YouTube (link down below) tomorrow/today and otherwise I hope to see you guys in the comments!

Hi Razlaw,
Maybe you can play with the settings on the 50's and see if you have a min/max setting. Also is there a way to bump the db on the core? I don't have one here anymore so I can't check it.
with regards to the bv7, I think your right, you're standard set up would start playing and not just the 50's.
as for the bl5 mode,go to product settings - configure - preset - ... - > - advanced - parametric EQ - load values - select the Beolab 5 Sound Design and press load and you'll have them do their thing and you're good to go.
Razlaw, my previous comment went to moderation so hold on for a mo
I didn't want to mention it earlier, but since others have brought up the issue of the length of the podcast, I might as well chime in. I stopped watching the podcast long ago just because I couldn't devote three hours a week to watching it. I've enjoyed your podcast very much, but I've wished it could be shorter.
I'll try again razlaw,
I don't have a core anymore but when you set it to volume regulated is there a way to bump up the volume? or maybe look at the standard volume of the 50's and bump that up. I do think that if you connect the core to the tv that you'll lose to solo ability of the 50's unless you switch it on the tv to speaker 2 so to say, if that's what you mean?
for the 5 sound you need to go into the app and in your speakers and co to products settings - configure - preset - ... - > - advanced - parametric eq - load values - beolab 5 sound design and press load and then you're good to go. it's a bit hidden but you can do a lot from there.
try nr 3
jesus, well I gave it two more tries but yeah.. hopefully it'll come someday soon.

Thanks! If I set the Core to regulated, and turn the volume all the way up in the app, and then turn the volume all the way up on the 50s in the app, I would guess the volume only reaches around the equivalent of 50. Not that I want 90. With the Core set to non regulated (box unchecked in the app) I have the 50s set to a default turn on volume of 22 and a maximum volume of 64. Gives me the range I want. Also, is not very difficult to adjust in the app. After I select a piece of music, I press the product icon and it takes me right to the 50s volume. It works very well.
What my concern was about connecting the Core to the TV, is that the 50s would not perform to their full ability. In the app, it is possible to select the type of speakers connected. Thus the Core knows it is sending a signal to the 50s. The BV7 does not have 50s in the menu, only 5s, so I was thinking that passing the Core's signal through the BV7 would mean the 50s received a signal designed for 5s, instead of 50s?
Having said that, I also have a Beosound 5 and BS3000 connected to the BV7 by Masterlink. I can thus select N. Music or N. Radio and of course the system then only activates the two 50s and have full Beoremote 1 control and they sound wonderful, even the BV7 thinks they are 5s.
Thanks for the instructions on loading Beolab 5 values!
Also, for what it is worth, I don't think you need to change a thing with the podcast. The amount of time you devote too it is amazing.
oh that's what you meant by that. Yes you'd loose the 50's as speaker designation, although I am unsure how much that would actually matter. When you set the 50's to the 5 setting it's not like they sound exactly like the 5's. They reproduce the EQ sure and will have a much warmer and different sound design, but it's not the same. The 5 mode is also called the party mode, as it thumps so much and even more than the 5's, so good times best way to say it is that it's an approximation of the 5's, not a copy.
Maybe ask you dealer if they can upload the speaker to the sys3. Iam sure some one out there will have a 4-103(or similar) and have 50's or 90's now and they most likely have the system upgraded to suit the new speaker.

lol yes that would work too, but if you don't swivel maybe get a harmony? That looks stellar with 50's
Hi guys,
Iam back at home again and will be live again this Sunday, do you guys have anything you'd like us to talk about? Also if you have any photo's of gear you'd like to show on the podcast or us to comment on or just show off, send them the me at mikipedi4@gmail.com
Thanks in advance
Hi Miki
Some of ‘us’ had a nice visit to Struer yesterday.
Nice to see that they are very much alive at the factory - and nice to refresh your memories in the Museum.
Maybe someone else has more pictures?
