Is it me or is it not possible to play music from my NAS over the Beovision Avant 55, using the App? If so, why????
The old BeoRemote App allows you to do it, as it can see HomeMedia (i.e. your NAS).
Selecting something to play requires looking at the TV screen of course, but the BeoRemote app does give you some measure of control.
I wouldnt expect NAS libraries to be folded in to the new App - i think that has been made fairly clear by the dev team, unfortunately.
So I can play music from my NAS to an Beoplay A9 MK2 via the App but not to my very expensive TV?
Hmm, you can if your NAS in connected to a Moment (possible a Core / Essence, dont have one so cant say for sure).
I can use the App (latest one) to play my NAS music on my Avant, but my NAS is connected to a Moment.
I have an A9 too - how can you play NAS music through the A9? Selecting my A9 in the app, not obvious to me which source option would relate to a NAS alone.

I have the NAS setup as a DLNA source. I want to simply play music to my Beovision through the App, not using Homemedia. However, if I choose a song I want to play on the Beovision i get an error saying that this is not possible.
They are not planning on building in DLNA support to the new / current app.
I suspect the answer re the Avant is that it needs a Moment / Core / Essence connected, others may well be able to advise.
Appreciate that's not the answer you need.
