I know there are other threads on a similar topic but as time goes by so do solutions...
I have a BeoVision 7-40 HD (the early one with no HDMI) with an attached BL 7.4. This is the centre of a system with a BeoSound 9000 and 2 X BL 8000's at front and 2 X BL 6000's at rear. There is also a BeoLab 2. Everything is "plumbed in" using ML. The speakers are the older ones.
I want to change my TV to a non B&O option. Question is how can I keep the rest of my system in place and still make everything work as is with minimal relocation of wires etc? The 9000 is on the wall with wires plastered in!!
Thanks
Had not thought of that. Thank you. I know you can still buy them. Anyone with experience of using this with something like an LG OLED?
Or Almando ? There are posts about Loewe oled/Almando integration.

Thanks for the suggestion. Always worry a little when things are run by an app given Apple’s lack of continuing support and updating issues for them some times.
As I have reported in an other post I have installed the Almando in a similar setup. In order to connect the ML you need to add a B&O link active. Works perfectly for me. The app of Almando is (actually two app's either Apple or Android) is only used to setup the speakers (volume etc). Once this is done you never use the app again.
Good luck!

Hello the app is called: Almando Control. But I think the app is still in test by Apple. If you buy an Almando product just mail them and you will receive an invitation to Testflight then you download and run the app. The android app is normally available in the google store. I work with the Apple app works perfectly. If you want I can post some screen shots.
Hi Reaven,
yes please, I'd be very interested in that. I still have an eclipse, the key word being ''still''. iam not that happy so iam looking at all options they way I feel I should've done when I bought my new setup.. anywho I'd love to see how it works and what you could do with speaker control etc. thanks!
How would you rate the Almando DAC? Did you notice any quality drop in sound due to use of a non-BO TV?
Hi Mikipedia,
why are you not happy with your Eclipse?
I am satisfied with mine besides that I experience sometimes NO sound when starting Deezer or MUSIC from NAS. But I got message from my dealer that this software bug is beeing corrected very soon.
I really like the PQ of the Eclipse and that the Tv support all major PQ format (dolby vision and HDR).
Best regards
Martin

Hello I would rate the quality the same as B&O. It took me some time to adjust the volume of the loudspeakers to have the good surround sound.
Hello Mikipedia,
I have made small screen-recording on my iPhone which explains a bit the functionality. See attached download link, if the link does not work PM and I will send you another link.
1 I go to settings on the phone to connect the Almando
2 Open de Almando app
3 Here I put on the TV and you see "HDMI ARC" turns red. As you can see the input signal is PCM, this can be changed in the TV settings and the Almando will follow
4 here I demonstrate/show the different settings of the loudspeakers
5 Turn the TV off
6 Turn the BeoLink on the "DIN (B&) Powerlink) turns blue
7 show setting of the powerlink, under de menu "DOWNMIX" you can select which speaker set you want to use.
8 turn off Beolink
9 you can also connect your IPhone via Bluetooth did not demonstrate this, but works perfectly

Putzgrilous: Hi Reaven, How would you rate the Almando DAC? Did you notice any quality drop in sound due to use of a non-BO TV?
Well, I haven't made a side by side comparison, but TV sound from LOEWE is pleasant. When playing from Essence the Almando DAC is not involved.
Only thing I noticed when streaming Music via Bluetooth the Almando Multiplay, it sounds crappy. I can also Bluetooth to the LOEWE built-in module which is perfect then.
