Hi there,
I am restoring an really pretty BeoGram 1203. I cleaned the motor and the bearings and the speed is perfect again.
But there's a problem i haven't solved yet - the arm is not always engaging when i press the "LIFT"-button.
Sometimes i have to unplug the power and wait a minute or two before it works as expected.
Can anyone tell me what to do to make the arm engage every time? Which part do i need to change?

I have cleaned almost everything but i will try it one more time.
Is there any capacitors i should check? Can the relay be faulty or something like that?
After cleaning all contacts one more time and lubricating all mechanical parts, the issue persists.
It is almost consistent: i clean the machine, assemble it, press "LIFT" and the arm engages plays the record and returns.
When pressing "LIFT" again the plate starts spinning but the arm does nothing.
I will add some pictures later today.

Søren Mexico: Opened the relay, the contact pins were bend and not making contact, straitening helped, the lower of the two arms did not make sufficient contact to the plastic arm on the cam gear I adjusted the relay position with the factory sealed adjusting eccentric, I checked he cap, diode and resistors all measured OK.

Are the marked pins the ones you referrer to as contact pins? If so, how did you manage to straiten them without destroying them? I will check the resistors, capacitors and diode. And one last question: what to you mean by "factory sealed adjusting eccentric"?

The contact pins/blades are easily bend without problems, but check first if needed, The adjusting eccentric is below the relay if I remember right, sealed with white lacquer (this on a BG 3000) dont know if your model has it
