Beogram CD50 query

I have just bought a very nice system consisting of a Beomaster 5500, Beocord 5500 and a Beogram CD50 controlled by a Master Control panel 5500.  Everything works great, apart from controlling the CD player with the panel. It works when you press play on the unit itself.  Is this a compatability issue?  Thanks Phil

Datalink problem.

-Missing pins in the DIN plug
-Leads broken off inside the DIN plug
-Bad protection diodes
-Bad solder joints
Any combination of the above.
